what's up Splinter Player around the world how are you doing? I want to share my battle using one of my scholar account in Balthazar Guild that playing in Gold Modern Format league.And this time. I am literally asking the whale for help. Yeah, thats Baakjira in Ferocity ruleset. We still need tanker right but not with taunt since it will get double damage taken with Fury ability. And Baakjira is the one that very good as a tanker in water element. As you can see in the thumbnail, yeah in this content we are discussing water element. The strongest element in Splinterlands universe i guess.

Okay since you guys know that the ruleset is Ferocity lets knowing this ruleset a little bit deeper.This ruleset description is

All units have the Fury ability.
Think carefully before including a unit with Taunt in your lineup as they will take double damage from units with Fury.

So basically we just need to avoid bringing any taunt monster in our arrangement team line up. Because if we are bringing any taunt monster it will get double damage taken. And that will ruined what we are all planning right. Thats why just bringing monster without taunt ability. But, sometimes we still need to bring tanker monster, and usually tanker monster is having taunt ability right. So, we just need to choose and pick up the tank monster without taunt ability to protect other team mates.

Strategy Phase

As you can see in the picture above this battle have 3 ruleset. The first ruleset is Ferocity that means all monster will have fury ability. The second ruleset is Even Stevens that means both player just can bring the even mana cost only. And the last but not least ruleset is Target Practice That means all range and magic monster will having snipe ability. The manacap that can be used in this battle is just 21 which is pretty low and hard to arrange the team line up. And the element that can be used in this battle is Fire,Water,and Earth element only. With this limitation i think is will be pretty hard to pick what the best ideal team for both of us. So, without further ado lets see what i am pick up for my line up, you can see in the table below.

Card	Position	Ability	Reason
	Summoner	+1 Speed +1 Armor	I am using Kelya Frendul because this summoner and element is pretty good among the other that can be used that is Fire element or Earth element. Since i have Baakjira as Tanker i am not afraid to Earth Element combined with magic attack. I cannot using Fire too because i am having very low win rate using Fire element thats why i am prefer using Water element in this battle.
	Frontline Tanker		I am using this monster as frontline tanker because this monster having hea ability that can holding if get attacker. And this monster also having void ability that can reduce magic damage taken. Also having slow ability that can reduce opponent line up speed. And the last is this monster can gives 1 health addition from strengthen ability.And the good part is this monster did not have taunt ability that can safe from fury ability given by Ferocity ruleset.
	Second Tanker		I am using this monster as a second tanker in my team because this monster have pretty good combination that is Life Leech and Cripple so, even though this monster hitting opponent armor it will still leeching the life due the cripple ability. And if opponent using flying monster, This monster also having snare ability that can make all flying monster going to ground.
	Support		I am making mistake that bringing this monster. I am totally forgot that in this battle have Target Practice ruleset that make all range and magic monster will attacking the second range or magic monster in opponent line up. And that why cleanse is pretty useless. But, this monster having swiftness ability that can make all my entire team got additional 1 speed. I dont know what the using amplify ability in this battle.
	Attacker		I am bringing this monster because this monster costing just 2 manacost and having stun ability that can make opponent having chance to get stun and cannot doing anything. And that will adding chance to my team won this battle.
	Filler		I am using this monster as a filler to make opponenent will attacking this monster first if opponent using sneak monster ability. Thats why this monster can be a backliner tanker.

So this is my strategy for this battle. I think my strategy is not bad. But i am really forget that the ruleset is Target Sniper that make all magic and range monster will attacking the second range or magic monster. Thats why i am afraid that with the wrong decision can make my strategy fall.

Battlephase

This time i am encountered with player that have same idea with me that using water element with Kelya Frendul.Okay let's see how the battle going

Round 1

Okay after looking opponent line up i feel lucky in this battle because opponent using melee monster instead using magic or range monster. That will make my monster is safe for a few round. But it will depends how fast my team can defeat opponent Igor Darkspear and opponent Diemonshark. Cause the harmfull monster in opponent line up is Deeplurker.
So as usual in round 1 both parties got buff and debuff from both summoner and monster.
In this battle my team got

• 1 Speed buff and 1 armor buff from my Summoner Kelya Frendul
• 1 Health buff from my Baakjira ability Strengthen
• 1 Speed buff from my River Nymph ability Swiftness

In opponent team got

• 1 Speed Buff and 1 armor buff from opponent summoner Kelya Frendul
• 1 Speed Debuff from my Baakjira ability Slow
• 1 Range Attack Debuff from my Torrent Fiend ability Headwind

After buff and debuff then the battle started.
In round one my Baakjira seems fine and still can holding opponent attack. In contrary opponent Igor Darkspear defeated with combination attack from my Range and Magic Monster. And since my team is faster the opponent fainted first. And it is good for my team. So, the next target will be Diemonshark. And in this turn the opponent team attack seems not focused because the Deeplurker hunting my Torrent Fiend and Diemonshark attacking my Baakjira and of course my Baakjira with heal ability can refill the health until maximum.

Round 2

In round 2 as you can see the picture above the opponent Deeplurker gives poison to my Torrent Fiend in previous round and this round opponent Deeplurker defeated my Torrent Fiend. And since opponent Igor have been defeated so the headwind ability will be useless for opponent team. And this time my Baakjira get 6 damage. And i think my Baakjira can holding opponent attack for few more round until opponent Diemonshark defeated first before Diemonshark can taking my Baakjira down.

Round 3

In round 3 all my range and magic monster all out attacking Diemonshark and luckily my Igor Darkspear giving stun to opponent Diemonshark so my Baakjira can healing twice in 2 round without getting any damage. And in this round opponent Deeplurker hunting down my River Nymph and in this round still just broke the armor and not giving any poison attack.

Round 4

In round 4 my Merdhampir can defeated opponent Diemonshark and that makes opponent Deeplurker will attacking my Baakjira head to head. And this time opponent Deeplurker not giving any Poison Status too. And leaving with just 2 monster in opponent line up. It makes my team will locked the victory to this battle.

Round 5

In round 5 finally my River Nymph can defeated opponent Deeplurker and that will make the opponent line up just leaving Torrent Fiend which is pretty easy to get defeated. So i am pretty sure that in the next round the battle ended and i will be the winner in this battle

Conclusion

Okay after experiencing this battle i know that there are so few monster that can be a potential and powerful tanker without having taunt ability. And one of them is Baakjira. Even though this monster does not have any attack but in terms of defence this monster is formidable. And very hard to breakthrough Baakjira. Even though i am wrong arranging my monster in this battle but i can still win is like miracle. Maybe the opponent human too that making human error in arranging the line up. If only the opponent bringing Dr Blight i think i will be the lose one. Since the Target Practice will make Dr Blight attacking my Second line up till end and not attacking my Baakjira first. But, overall i think using Baakjira as frontline tanker in Ferocity ruleset battle is one of the solution that i can gives.
