Splinterlands: My Focus and My Buying Strategy on Halving Promo Cards + My Last cards' Ugrades (ENG/ITA)

My Focus and My Buying Strategy on Halving Promo Cards + My Last cards' Ugrades
On Splinterlands, season number 133 is underway and will end in about 1 day and 6 hours.
In the current season my game results, although partial, are worse than the previous season because I am in Gold III league and have a win rate of 47.83% = -0.20% compared to season 132.
I will hardly achieve the goals I set at the beginning of the season:
- finish the season at least in the Gold I league.
- accumulate at least 50K GLINT as an end-of-season reward.
But I still have time to try to reach at least the Gold I league before the end of the season.
Closing this small parenthesis on my partial season results in this post I share my thoughts and evaluations on the two Promo cards of the Halving Promo Event that is ongoing and will end in a little more than 2 days.
I like both of the two promo cards that can be purchased during the event:
- BARON FYATT (legendary card)
- HENCHLING ENFORCER (rare card)
I will try to buy at least 3 BCX of BARON FYATT to upgrade to level 2 and I will try to buy at least 25 BCX of HENCHLING ENFORCER to upgrade to level 4.
I don't have a lot of liquidity right now because I have 261K DEC in my in-game wallet and I also have other purchase goals and for this reason to purchase these two cards I decided not to do it now but to wait until the end of the event.
The reasons for my choice are mainly two:
- I play in Modern Format and in the prizes distributed for event participants there are packs of cards that can only be used in Wild Format = I do not have much personal incentive to participate in the event.
- the cost per BCX on the market is lower than the cost per BCX that you need to incur by attending the event.
In fact, buying 1 BCX of BARON FYATT from the Event section has a cost = 16650 DEC + 312 VOUCHER (best buying option in the Event section).
Buying 1 BCX of BARON FYATT from the Market has a cost = 12193.25 DEC
Purchasing 1 BCX of HENCHLING ENFORCER from the Event section has a cost = 1575 DEC + 31 VOUCHER (best purchase option in the Event section).
Buying 1 BCX of HENCHLING ENFORCER from the Market has a cost = 1584.01 DEC
Based on the current market value of HIVE, DEC and VOUCHER tokens, I calculated the dollar cost to purchase 1 BCX of BARON FYATT and 1 BCX of HENCHLING ENFORCER for each possible purchase option.
Buying 1 BCX of BARON FYATT from the market costs 10$ instead of 22.35$ using DEC+VOUCHER tokens.
Buying 1 BCX of HENCHLING ENFORCER from the market costs 1.29$ instead of 2.23$ using DEC+VOUCHER tokens.
Obviously buying the Promo cards from the market excludes receiving the benefits of the event and the chances in the event raffle but based on my personal evaluations and based on my game goals the savings I can get from buying the cards from the market is greater than the benefits I would get from participating in the event.
Obviously what is more beneficial for me is not necessarily so for you so always make all your personal assessments before choosing what to do also because my buying strategies are always personal and are not financial advice.
To buy the promo cards I decided to buy them from the market but I also decided to wait until the end of the event because the top 20 in the Leaderboard of the event will receive a lot of BCX as a prize and for this reason after the end of the event the number of cards for sale may increase with a likely further decrease in the market price.
Before concluding the writing of this post I will share my latest upgrade goals that I have completed.
Yesterday all my BIDs for Commander Goff were accepted.
I now have Commander Goff of top level in my collection of cards from the Rebellion set
I have not yet had a chance to use level 4 Commander Goff in battle but I will show its use in battle in a future post of mine.
Commander Goff is my second Rebellion card that I have upgraded to maximum level after Akane of which I upgraded to maximum level some time ago.
Today I also decided to upgrade to the highest level a card that I like to use in battles that have the ruleset Shades of Gray that allows you to choose only neutral cards.
The card I chose for my upgrade is Arkemis the Bear which I had at level 7 = 150 BCX.
I purchased 250 BCX and spent 18789.65 DEC = $15.4 (- cashback).
Now I have a stronger card to use especially in battles that have the Shades of Gray ruleset!

Focus sulle carte Promo dell'Evento Halving + Gli obiettivi di Ugrade delle mie carte
Su Splinterlands è in corso la stagione numero 133 che terminerà tra circa 1 giorno e 6 ore.
Nella stagione in corso i miei risultati di gioco, anche se parziali, sono peggiorati rispetto alla stagione precedente perchè sono in lega Gold III e ho un win rate del 47.83% = -0.20% rispetto alla stagione 132.
Difficilmente raggiungerò gli obiettivi che mi ero fissato a inizio stagione:
- terminare la stagione almeno nella lega Gold I
- accumulare almeno 50K GLINT come ricompensa di fine stagione
Ma ho ancora del tempo per provare a raggiungere almeno la lega Gold I prima della fine della stagione.
Chiusa questa piccola parentesi sui miei risultati stagionali parziali in questo post condivido le mie considerazioni e valutazioni sulle due carte Promo dell'Halving Promo Event che è in corso e che terminerà tra poco più di 2 giorni.
Mi piacciono entrambe le due carte promo acquistabili durante l'evento:
- BARON FYATT (legendary card)
- HENCHLING ENFORCER (rare card)
Cercherò di acquistare almeno 3 BCX di BARON FYATT per fare l'upgrade al livello 2 e cercherò di acquistare almeno 25 BCX di HENCHLING ENFORCER per fare l'upgrade al livello 4.
Non ho una grande liquidità in questo momento perchè ho 261K DEC nel mio in-game wallet e ho anche altri obiettivi di acquisto e per questo motivo per acquistare queste due carte ho deciso di non farlo ora ma di aspettare la fine dell'evento.

Acquistare 1 BCX di HENCHLING ENFORCER dal Market ha un costo = 1584.01 DEC
In base al valore di mercato attuale dei token HIVE, DEC e VOUCHER ho calcolato il costo in dollari per acquistare 1 BCX di BARON FYATT e 1 BCX di HENCHLING ENFORCER per ogni opzione di acquisto possibile.
Acquistare 1 BCX di BARON FYATT dal market costa 10$ invece di 22.35$ utilizzando i token DEC+VOUCHER.
Acquistare 1 BCX di HENCHLING ENFORCER dal market costa 1.29$ invece di 2.23$ utilizzando i token DEC+VOUCHER.
Ovviamente acquistare le carte Promo dal market esclude di ottenere i benefici dell'evento e le chances nella raffle dell'evento ma in base alle mie valutazioni personali e in base ai miei obiettivi di gioco il risparmio che posso ottenere acquistando le carte dal mercato è superiore ai benefici che otterrei partecipando all'evento.
Ovviamente quello che è più vantaggioso per me non è detto che lo sia anche per te e quindi fai sempre tutte le tue personali valutazioni prima di scegliere cosa fare anche perchè le mie strategie di acquisto sono sempre personali e non sono consigli finanziari.
Per acquistare le carte promo ho deciso di acquistarle dal market ma ho deciso anche di aspettare la fine dell'evento perchè i top 20 nella Leaderboard dell'evento riceveranno molti BCX come premio e per questo motivo dopo la fine dell'evento potrebbe aumentare il numero delle carte in vendita con un probabile ulteriore diminuzione del prezzo di mercato.
Prima di concludere la scrittura di questo post condivido i miei ultimi obiettivi di upgrade che ho completato.
Ieri sono state accettate tutte le mie offerte di acquisto BID per Commander Goff
Adesso ho Commander Goff di massimo livello nella mia collezione di carte del set Rebellion
Non ho ancora avuto l'occasione di utilizzare Commander Goff di livello 4 in battaglia ma mostrerò il suo utilizzo in battaglia in un mio prossimo post.
Commander Goff è la mia seconda carta Rebellion che ho portato al massimo livello dopo Akane della quale ho fatto l'upgrade al massimo livello tempo fa.
Oggi ho deciso anche di fare un upgrade al massimo livello di una carta che mi piace utilizzare nelle battaglie che hanno la ruleset Shades of Gray che permette di scegliere solo carte neutrali.
La carta che ho scelto per il mio upgrade è Arkemis the Bear che avevo al livello 7 = 150 BCX.
Ho acquistato 250 BCX e ho speso 18789.65 DEC = 15.4$ (- cashback).
Adesso ho una carta più forte da utilizzare soprattutto nelle battaglie che hanno la ruleset Shades of Gray!
