The Eye Of Entrepreneurs - On Ecency

Source

Hello to everyone on Hive, Ecency and all other Frontends, for today's blog I'm going to share yet another interesting secret in the Business and Entrepreneurial world.

Now the statement I'm about to make might seem a bit controversial to some people but hear me out first;

I have come to a conclusion that true or successful entrepreneurship cannot be taught, is either a person has the ability or not..

There's something I like to call the eye of Entrepreneurs and what exactly do I mean by that?

Entrepreneurship is like treasure finding; it takes a special eye to spot. It’s not taught in school; you either have it or you don’t.

So the question you might ask is how will you find this treasure?

Well, it’s about three things: first is to find something people really need, which they would be ready to pay for and finally that which they have the money for at present.

Once these three things are checked off, boom, you’re in business. You can call yourself a business man or woman after that.

It could literally be anything, you can sell water or ice cream; as long as these standards are met, then all is good, you're in business for sure.

So the billion dollar question I would like to answer in this blog is; what makes a successful entrepreneur? Let me break it down into three things.

To start with, they must have tasted failure before. Yes, I literally said failure, as the first point in what makes a successful business person. Trust me it's no contradiction here, I'll explain myself.

In the school of entrepreneurship, failure is the quintessential tutor. It's like learning to swim; you can read all the books you want but until you actually dive in and start paddling, you won't know how to stay afloat.

Thus somebody who hasn’t experienced failure yet seems more like a swimmer who has only read about swimming without ever dipping himself into water.

Now secondly, they have to be a bit crazy. I mean, seriously, who in their sound mind would willingly venture into the treacherous path of entrepreneurship? It comes with so much risk which is why a few people in comparison to the rest of the world, have succeeded. It takes something very extraordinary to break the boundaries and succeed in Entrepreneurship.

Here's a vidoe of one of the entrepreneurs I admire talking about the difficulty in building business and how to survive it

You really must have faith in yourself when there is nothing good about you. You must think that you can still generate cash when it does not appear possible.

You must believe that you can take on bigger competitors when you are just a small fish in a large pond. And last but not the least; you need to trust that even when numbers don’t make sense, you can succeed with little financial resources out of nothing. It’s just like believing that you can fly while others say it’s impossible.

But do you know what? That is why entrepreneurs are special people. They never fear taking risks; they defy logic and everyone else’s opinions; they go against the grain even if people say they’re insane.

In fact, these guys are more like rebels of business ever challenging its limitations till date.

One of the most renowned successful business men Kevin O'Leary said Business is war

And you wanna know something? I genuinely admire this craziness. In a world where everyone is playing safe, where everybody abides by the old rules, it is only the crazy ones who change the game.

They are the ones with the ability to disrupt industries, to make something out of nothing and to leave their footprints on the world.

So yeah entrepreneurship might be a wild ride full of ups and downs twists and turns but guess what? I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Because at the end of the day it is not just about money making or building a business; it’s about chasing your dreams, following your passion and showing people that anything is possible if one is crazy enough to believe in it and fight so hard breaking boundaries to see a better future.

I hope this blog inspires you to go ahead and chase your dreams. It doesn't even have to be about building a business, no matter what it is, have the determination,. have the eye of Entrepreneurs to see a good opportunity and take advantage of it. Thanks and have a great day.

Great post. And I agree, entrepreneurship requires more than just knowing how to do business but having the tenacity, faith in oneself, and getting through the challenges.
