Borrowing Is A Contraband In My Life

Talking about loans, it's something I cannot take, and I can't remember taking it. I just knew how people always feel when they venture into lending. A loan in Nigeria is something that keeps people either growing or falling. Most people who had taken loans fell back regretting most, especially the online loans.

She called, saying, “Bros, I need some money.” When someone should ask for money from you, you cannot just keep quiet but ask the reason that person needed that money. My husband asked, and she said, “They have been calling my phone number all these while asking me to refund their money.” He asked her to tell him the reasons why they must call. She said she borrowed money from an online app, and now they required to be repaid. My husband was surprised to hear that. At least when you borrow money from an app or any means, you just have to pay whatever you have borrowed back since you have achieved the reasons for borrowing the money.
She was crying bitterly on the phone. She said she had paid back 90% of the money she had borrowed. Not only that, but she was weeping bitterly as the loan representative had been disturbing her, making her run from pillar to post.
My husband had to promise to give her part of the money. She was so happy, but after that week, my husband forgot to give her the money. The next week, she called my husband back and said my husband was a wicked brother who did not want the siblings to progress. This was when my husband remembered and apologized for not sending her the money. After two hours, he sent her the money and this made her happy.
Going back to the app, she discovered that the money had been doubled. She was mad. Although it was my husband who called her just to confirm if she had paid back the money. My husband asked, “What will you do now?” She said she had tried to at least settle both the interest and the major money. She also said she would not pay any other money.
One of my husband's friends said he had abandoned his hotline just because of the way he was disturbed by the loan representative. He said even after paying their money, they kept calling and texting him for their money. He was angry, and he decided to change his SIM card.
I had said before that I have not taken out a loan before. The only one I could remember was when I was still with my parents. I had to borrow money from one of my friends. I called her my best friend, but my best friend turned out to be a tyrant in my path.
Likewise, I was supposed to pay her back in two weeks but just because of some circumstances, I failed. This caused a serious fight between us. Since that day, I have vowed to remain myself without borrowing.
I guess borrowing favors some people but does not favor so many people, just like me.
