Unforgotten Spot

“Haha hahaha...” Mike laughed as he was running around the mango tree with Tricia. They were experiencing the best love ever and were desiring continual happiness.

“Don't worry, I will catch you," Mike lovingly yelled at Tricia.

“You think you can catch me?” Tricia asked with her face filled with smile. Their love knew no bounds.

“I'm a man, and a man who's stronger than any other man," Mike replied.

“No! No! No! You lied," Tricia said as she began to run around the tree countless times, followed by Mike, who was chasing her from behind.

“I told you I'm a man, and a man stronger than any other man. Now I have caught you red-handed," Mike smiled as he held Tricia with his hands placed on Tricia's waist. Tricia immediately looked up and saw Mike's gaze, and immediately their eyes were in contact with each other. Mike began to draw his face so close to Tricia, as did Tricia. After some time, a mango fruit fell in between them, which frightened them. Their hands got separated for that moment.

A few minutes later, Mike was gazing at the particular place the fruit fell from, and Tricia moved closer with the mango fruit halved in her mouth. She beckoned Mike to grab the other half with his mouth. So, they both licked the mango and during this process, there was a sudden breath and a sign of relief from the two lovers.

“I love you, Tricia.” Mine left the mango as he had said that statement and moved his mouth straight to Tricia's mouth. After a few minutes, Tricia drew her mouth back and said, “I love you too.”.

After about 10 minutes of standing and professing their love, Mrs. Damien, Tricia's mom, showed up and used a straight stick to wipe her daughter from behind without their knowledge.

“I have warned you not to mingle with this good-for-nothing boy, but you won't listen," Mrs. Damien yelled.

Tricia ran home, leaving me behind. “See you tomorrow here again," Tricia whispered.

“Please warn your son to keep away from my daughter. The next time I catch him, I'm going to deal with him severely," Mrs. Damien bragged.

“I have heard what you have said; I will warn my son," Mike's mom replied, while Mrs. Damien left in anger.

Mike's mom called Mike and said, “Son, you know how that family always brags. They thought no one would make it in life. So, I'm warning you right now to steer clear of their daughter.”.

“Impossible," Mike murmured without knowing that her mom had heard him murmuring. “What did you say?” she asked.

“I said I have heard, Mom," Mike said.

“Better,” she replied.

Seven years later, Mike was so rich, and he got married to the love of his heart, Tricia. They had moved to the city after their wedding. They stayed for eight years without visiting home.

“When will you come home, son? I have missed you a lot,” Mike's mom asked.

“Don't worry, mom. We will come home with our two kids during the Christmas holiday," Mike replied to his mom.

“What? Two kids? Did you mean I have grandchildren now? It means I'm a grandma, right?” Her happiness knew no bounds.

“Yes, Mom,” Mike replied.

When it was the Christmas holiday, Mike and Tricia came home to see their parents. Before reaching home, Tricia's mom had got to Mike's compound. They saw each other, and Mrs. Damien jumped and immediately rushed to hug her useless but now useful son-in-law.

Two days later, Mike and Tricia went out to get some fresh air, and Mike remembered the good old days after seeing the mango tree still standing about 12 years ago.

“Dear, can you still remember our camping base? I mean our meeting point," Mike asked.

“Oh, it's here, under the mango tree. I remembered that day when the fallen mango fruit made our day special," Tricia replied.

“Haha haha... it's worth laughing as what you did that day was a surprise," Mike said.

“What did I do that was surprising?” Tricia asked.

“Oh no! You forgot so soon. You picked up the mango and immediately placed it in my mouth while in your mouth." Mike was so excited.

“Haha haha... truly, I only watched it from a film where the lady placed a banana in her mouth and called her husband to eat the second half while it was still in her mouth," Tricia replied.

“Wow! I have so much… " “I love it.” Before Mike could finish his speech, Tricia concluded by saying exactly what was on Mike's mind.

“You are a genius, dear," mine replied.

“Do you still remember what someone did to us that same day?” Tricia asked.

“Hahaha haha... not someone, but your mom. She interrupted our love mood," Mike remembered.

“It's a good thing we are here again to chill out, as this place has been our meeting point," Tricia said as she opened the chilled soft drink they brought from home. Mike also opened his and raised his bottle, while Tricia also raised hers. “Cheers,” they both echoed.

Nice to know that Mike and Tricia could seal their love despite their parents' effort to break their bond. The spot is a priceless reminder of where they started. Good story, well done.👍👍👍

A youthful love swimming among memories. A Romeo and Juliet that had a happy ending, united in family and love. A very touching story.

Thanks for sharing.
Excellent Saturday.

I love it when couples reminisce about how and when they met. It's usually beautiful to remember how long you've come. Cheers to Mike and Tricia's love. 😊
