Saludos amigos de #hive y #alienart, espero estén pasando una increíble semana, el día de hoy les comparto mi entrada al concurso semanal de #splinterlands, escogiendo como personaje de esta semana a Coastal Sentry una impactante sirena con unos colores hermosos, con ese toque de villana, sin duda a pesar de no tener armadura o un diseño super amenazante, con juego de colores que tiene hace que al verla nos de esa sensación de que hay que tener cuidado y que no es alguien en que debamos confiar. Por esas razones la escogí como el personaje a ilustrar esta semana.

Greetings friends of hive and alienart, I hope you are having an incredible week, today I share with you my entry to the splinterlands weekly contest, choosing as this week's character Coastal Sentry a stunning mermaid with beautiful colors, with that touch of villain, no doubt despite not having armor or a super threatening design, with the play of colors that makes us to see her gives us that feeling that we must be careful and that she is not someone we should trust. For these reasons I chose her as the character to illustrate this week.

Como en la referencia no salía la cola fue una de las zonas que le diseñe, tratando de conservar los colores y el aspecto del personaje, también modifique un poco la aleta dorsal, haciendo espinas y con la típica forma de acordeón de las aletas. Realice brillo en la cola y en la parte del escote, realizar esa serie de patrones de puntos me da la impresión de ser una textura de algo escamoso o acuático, de igual forma conserve el juego de colores en todas las aletas. Realice un fondo marino, con juego de luces que combinan con su aleta, además de ser más oscuro en la parte inferior, lo que resalta el brillo y otras zonas de Coastal Sentry.

As the reference did not show the tail was one of the areas that I designed, trying to keep the colors and the look of the character, I also modified a little the dorsal fin, making thorns and the typical accordion shape of the fins. I made brightness in the tail and in the part of the neckline, to make that series of patterns of points gives me the impression of being a texture of something scaly or aquatic, in the same way I kept the play of colors in all the fins. Make a seabed, with a set of lights that combine with its fin, besides being darker at the bottom, which highlights the brightness and other areas of Coastal Sentry.

Realice la base del dibujo con el lápiz digital y el color azul, después realice las facciones, aletas y definidas otras áreas del personaje con el color rosado.

Make the base of the drawing with the digital pencil and the blue color, then make the features, fins and other defined areas of the character with the pink color.

Realice el trabajo de línea con el color negro y usando la tinta dura, después elimine las capas previas y aplique la base de color usando el rellenador, aplicando sus colores correspondientes en cada area.

Make the line work with the black color and using the hard ink, then remove the previous layers and apply the base color using the filler, applying its corresponding colors in each area.

Detalle las áreas de piel, aplicando sombra y volumen, también las franjas en su rostro y costilla. Después detalle el cabello usando tonos más oscuros y negro, y si brillo con el blanco.

Detail the skin areas, applying shadow and volume, also the stripes on her face and rib. Then detail the hair using darker tones and black, and if shiny with white.

Detalle la cola y las aletas de está, realizando sombra y brillos, además de sus franjas, después detalle las aletas y la falta, terminando así el detallado de la cola.

Procedí a detallar el tridente con tonos metálicos, y después detalle sus labios y ojos. Para finalizar realice el fondo con una base de negro, aplicando tonos azules, y brillos y burbulas. También aplique un poco de amarillo para dar más luz y con las acuarelas realice el agua que se enrolla en el tridentd.

I proceeded to detail the trident with metallic tones, and then detail her lips and eyes. To finish I made the background with a black base, applying blue tones, and glitter and bubbles. I also applied a bit of yellow to give more light and with watercolors I made the water that coils around the trident.

Me encanta mucho el diseño de este personaje, además porque es una sirena, y siempre he visto muchas formas de representadas y muchos tipos de colas y colores, sin duda no hay límite a la hora de diseñar una sirena, y splinterlands tiene varias con diseños increíbles de las cuales ya he dibujado a dos de ellas. I love very much the design of this character, also because it is a mermaid, and I have always seen many forms of represented and many types of tails and colors, without a doubt there is no limit when designing a mermaid, and splinterlands has several with incredible designs of which I have already drawn two of them.
