In this video, I cover the 5 biggest takeaways for myself from the recent DAOn Hall w/ Double Coconut regarding the Soulkeep tower defense game. For those not familiar, this game is integrated with Splinterlands and uses the same tokens (DEC/SPS) for payments and rewards.

  • Launches upcoming for both Discord & Telegram. Web2 will remain a primary focus for DC.
  • Almost 1 million DEC burned so far for tournament tickets
  • SPS Staking may come to higher leagues in the future, but they want this to be a beginner friendly game
  • Cosmetics/Reward cards are an option as they work on building out the next set of levels
  • Soul Boxes are in QA and should be out soon

In my opinion, this game still seems to be in a soft beta as the team has not really pushed its marketing on it yet. There have been a lot of bug fixes and loopholes closed so all things considered, I think we're still in a good spot and am hoping to see the game economy benefit as we get deeper into the bull run.

Honestly, I just don't care about this game or its utility. I hope we can onboard more Splinterlands players through the hype of tower defense, but it just isn't my cup of tea, Neither is land. Thanks for covering it anyways all the same. I'm sure some people out there play it!

Not playing Soulkeep and my hopes for it didn't work out so I no longer expect it to be a significant benefit to the Splinterlands ecosystem.
