Tips For Posting Content On Hive
In this video, I discuss a couple of tips for posting Splinterlands content on Hive that have helped me along my journey. I want to give a quick thanks and shout out to @azircon and @zaku for their guidance and support in this!
So let's dive in, here are the tips:
- Post Frequency
Be regular and consistent, but do not post more than 7 times in a week to avoid the perception of engagement farming. Posting once a day might be daunting, but I've enjoyed getting into a rhythm posting regularly.
- Don't Be Afraid To Repurpose Content
It's ok to use content from other platforms. All major content creators post/stream to multiple platforms and at the end of the day Hive is just another platform - although decentralized and on the blockchain.
- Diversification
Don't only post about Splinterlands, expand your audience to the rest of Hive. There are many sub-communities on Hive and reaching them through shared interests will help to grow your network.
- Engagement
Don't just post and leave. Make sure to check out other content and upvote/comment to engage with them. The whole point of blogging is to connect with others through shared interests and just reading or upvoting doesn't really have much interaction. Leaving comments is a great way to dive deeper and build stronger relationships.
Hopefully these are helpful for you. I've found them to be great guidelines for my own Hive journey. At the end of the day, this is the blockchain that Splinterlands will be on for the foreseeable future and it's important that we integrate well and grow our voice on the platform.

Quick edit on your text, please consider using bullets or fix the numbers
So weird, even when I went in to edit it showed the proper numbers - just not in the post itself. Thanks for the heads up, I switched to bullets.

Adding appropriate tags help direct readers to the post. First 5 tags should be related to your contents or to the community you are posting to.
Another great tip, something I need to get better at honestly. Thanks!
Good points.
Trying to work on Engagement now. The main thing I have to work on is Diversification that would also help with increasing post frequency :)
Some great tips. During my time in Hive I had a relative success. I think it is natural to wish to get bigger rewards but at the same time I am not always doing enough. I post content quite consistently. But enganing with others is not easy for me. Still now I try to do better in this regard as well. I was getting bigger rewards posting template splinterlands battles but I enjoy making let's plays and creating art more so I am happier now even with smaller rewards.
Well you're doing a good job engaging here! It just takes time but it adds up when you do it consistently.
You've diversified your content over the course of a few weeks. I learned a lot from your splinterlands posts. Maybe if I had come across your account, I might have not made a lot of mistakes..
These are good tips from you. I do feel that a lot of things are frowned on, on hive, I feel like establishing a discipline will just help one not to get into trouble.
I used to post all the time back in the day, but it's been a few years since I was really active. I should probably get back into, though, and start building up my Hive stake again. I was on my way to 25k HP at one point, but I sold all of my Hive when it was between $1 and $2. That's pretty much the only time I ever timed something right. haha.

Smart move to sell at that point!
Thanks! Yeah, it was... at the time. Now, I have a little bit of regret about it because I don't really have a Hive stake anymore. I put about half of the profits I got from selling Hive into Bitcoin, and that's doing well. I put the other half into Splinterlands and that, so far, is not going so well, but I'm planning on riding the Splinterlands train until the end of the line if that's what it takes.
