Why I'm Stacking Hive For Splinterlands

avatar

In this video, I discuss 2 key reasons why I am now focused on increasing my HP stack to 10k.

From a recent conversation I had with @Azircon, he mentioned this is a good starting point to shoot for and generously delegated me that amount. It's been fantastic exploring the different communities around Hive, curating great content, and getting to know many of my fellow Hivers. This amount of HP allows me to leave a supportive upvote and my goal is to be able to do that with my own HP in the near future. Thanks again Azircon!

The second reason is after watching Yabapmatt's presentation at Hive fest, I see just how committed Splinterlands is to Hive and how solid the relationship has been over the years. Matt laid out all of the positive qualities of Hive as well as many areas that are improving which makes me feel much more secure investing time and energy into this platform. Not only that, but with him giving away titles to all attendees of HiveFest, I see this as foreshadowing more benefits for Splinterlands players who engage with Hive in the future.

So here we go, taking it one day, one post, and one up-vote at a time to reach my goals. Onward!

20+ comments per day that is a lot I didn't realize that is how much people comment, I would be happy to do 10 on average :)

Writing comments for the sake to commenting is spam. However, proper communication while reading or listening to the content and then answering or asking relevant questions will take you a long way

I jumped into hive blogs for the same reason like 2 weeks ago! I would like to know why @Azircon suggested 10k HP specifically, what's the thought process behind it? Thx

it allows you to vote 10 cents at 100%

But why 10k HP specifically? From what i hear, if you get a total upvote of less than $0.03 you get no rewards. Would you say that, to be a meaningful voter, you need a minimum of 3k HP so your vote can assure a reward to others? thx

It is all subjective. Why do you think a 3 cent vote is meaningful? And a 1 cent vote is not? There is nothing magical about 10K HP or any HP. Grow HP matter, as they grow more influence you have on the chain

Yes i get the point of any votes matters! In the case of new comers in this ecosystem, where their post is often less seen. Sometimes getting couple vote helps but it doesnt help them grow their influence on chain if, at the end of the day, they don't get a minimum of $0.03 to grow their stack. Is that true that less than $0.03 rewards goes to fees and not the author? It is what i heard so i wanted to make sure if its true, and if it is, this is why i would feel like my vote is meaningful with a 0.03 reward for those who do not get upvoted frequently :O

Let us try a different approach :)

I see that you don't get any support, and no one knows you. Why don't we do something else. Why don't you write a post about who you are, where you are from and what you like to do here. How's that?

I like your point of view! Most of people don't know how to introduce this ecosystem, me included. I know what i like from other participants but i don't know how i can participate meaningfuly / how i can contribute to the community as a noob :)

Alright! Will do hehe :) Another thing i don't understand yet, maybe you'll have answers! I wanted to join a community about Golem Overlord but even in the hive games, i dont see much related to it. I think Golem overlord is not a proper Hive game but it uses hive to facilitate transactions within the game. Should or can i make a community specifically on Golem Overlord and how? Thx
