Lira the Dark

Después de varias semanas sin tener el suficiente tiempo para participar en el concurso de arte de @Splinterlands hoy finalmente pude realizar un fan art y esta vez de una de mis cartas favoritas: Lira the Dark, esta vez una versión mas sencilla donde no quise colocarle el mismo traje ni accesorios de la carta original, en cambio quise realizar una especie de camisa de cuero y me pareció una idea interesante hacer a lira the dark sumergida en agua pero de color rojo, casi simulando sangre, aunque es un retrato intente darle muchos detalles posibles para hacerlo ver muy bonito, a mi me gusto bastante siento que tiene esas vibras oscuras que merece esta carta, espero que les guste.

After several weeks without having enough time to participate in the @Splinterlands art contest today I was finally able to make a fan art and this time of one of my favorite cards: Lira the Dark, this time a simpler version where I didn't want to place the same suit or accessories of the original card, instead I wanted to make a kind of leather shirt and I thought it was an interesting idea to make lira the dark submerged in water but in red color, almost simulating blood, although it is a portrait try to give it many possible details to make it look very nice, I quite liked it I feel that it has those dark vibes that this card deserves, I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Realice mi boceto y empecé a colorear, esta vez elegí tonos para la piel que fuesen mayormente rosas, ya que quería darle un contraste diferente a este dibujo, para las sombras use algunos tonos marrones y rojo para los labios, en una nueva capa añadí más colores dándole mejor forma al rostro para después empezar a mezclar y difuminar estos colores dejando una textura mas suave, coloque un color morado oscuro de base en el cabello y tambien pinte el gorro con un marrón bastante oscuro.

I made my sketch and started to color, this time I chose tones for the skin that were mostly pink, because I wanted to give a different contrast to this drawing, for the shadows I used some brown tones and red for the lips, in a new layer I added more colors giving better shape to the face and then start to mix and blend these colors leaving a softer texture, I put a dark purple base color in the hair and also painted the cap with a dark brown.

Luego comencé a añadir luces al cabello con morado mas claro, para la ropa coloqué un tono marrón oscuro y luego añadí luces con blancos, azules y marrones más claros y sombras con negro, quise añadirle algo de sangre corriendo por la boca y me encanto, después cambié el fondo a un color rojo desaturado y empecé a darle detalles con diferentes tonalidades de rojo dibujando ondas en este “mar”

Then I started to add highlights to the hair with lighter purple, for the clothes I placed a dark brown tone and then I added highlights with whites, blues and lighter browns and shadows with black, I wanted to add some blood running through the mouth and I loved it, then I changed the background to a desaturated red color and I started to give details with different shades of red drawing waves in this "sea"

Añadí una capa de luces donde aplique puntos de luz en la ropa, ojos, nariz, labios y en la parte del cuerpo que está en contacto con el agua, después me di cuenta que debía añadir por lo menos un rayo de luz roja como la carta original y se me ocurrió dibujarlos en cada lado de la cabeza con líneas de diferentes tamaños y luminosidad, finalmente realice una edición de imagen dándole una tonalidad un poco más fría, realmente siento que la edición elevo un poco mas el resultado final.

I added a layer of lights where I applied points of light in the clothes, eyes, nose, lips and in the part of the body that is in contact with the water, then I realized that I had to add at least one ray of red light as the original card and I thought of drawing them on each side of the head with lines of different sizes and brightness, finally I made an image editing giving it a little cooler tone, I really feel that the editing level up a little more the final result.
