After an intense winning session, I have finally fought my way to Gold 3! I just kept winning one after the other, and my streak of 40 ratings kept on adding up. I spent all the 48 energy I had and went from 700 to 2000 in one sitting. This game is just one of them where I shall share with you guys the strategy and monsters I used that may be considered underrated.

Without further ado, let's begin.

Battle Conditions

The mana cap is 49 and there are 5 ummoners to choose from: Water, Nature, Life, Death, and Dragon. This is an insane amount of mana cap from which anyone in the Gold League can make us a threatening Water, Dragon, or Life deck. But, I chose Death Summoner as I have insane monsters in my arsenal.

Battle Rules:-

  • Maneuvers: All monsters have the reachability.
  • Armoured Up: All monsters have 2 armor in addition to their normal armor stat.

Battle Details

Let's start from my side:

Summoner: Thaddius Brood(Ability: Decrease in HP and Magic damage by 1 for all enemy monsters)(Level 5).

Tank: Cursed Windeku(Ability: Thorns, Heal)(Capped at Level 5).

Melee Attacker: Arachne Thug(Ability: Reach, Trample).

Ranged Attackers: Dhampir Stalker(Ability: True Strike, Deathblow), Zyriel(Ability: Weapon Training, Life Leech, Divine Shield).

Magic Attackers: Kain Hace(Ability: Blast, Deflection Shield), Djinn Muirat(Ability: Void Armour, Knockout, Giant Killer).

My strategy was to set up an impenetrable wall with an immeasurable barrage of attacks. I put Djinn in the back because I wanted my Zyriel to be safe from the sneak attackers. I used Zyriel because I wanted to do as much damage as possible and have an HP siphon from it. I put Kain Hace in the middle of the deck as I wanted it protected from both sides. Dhampir Stalker is my main killer on the deck. It has a 100% accuracy of bringing 4 damage to the enemy monster tank. And, Windeku with Arachne Thug combo is the best for offense and defense.

The overall damage per round is 19 per round. Adding in the damage from thorns and blast it comes to 23 per round. Adding in the overall healing/HP increase, it comes to a total HP increase of 5. Considering if his tank had higher mana than 9, the damage increases by 2 to an overall of 25... that a lotta damage!!

Now, for the opposition:

Summoner: Obsidian(Ability: Increase in Magic damage by 1 for all ally monsters).

Tank: Venari Knifer(Ability: Thorns).

Melee Attacker: Terraceous Hulk(Ability: Taunt, Void Armour).

Magic Attackers: Regal Peryton(Ability: Flying), Mycelic Slispawn(Ability: Taunt), Ujurak Mystic(Ability: Lookout), Goblic Psychic(Ability: Tank-heal).

His strategy was to use his high mana beasts to divert all the damage toward them while his magic attackers would do real damage to my tank. He had 2 monsters with taunt, that way when one would fall, the other one take the burden of damage and the rest of the monsters would continue to damage and survive without much hassle. He placed the monster with void armour first, that way the overall shield and HP get combined and so it could take much more damage. That way, he increased his survival of all the monsters in the deck by at least 2 rounds. He placed his Goblin in the back confidently since all the damage had been diverted so it could heal the tank without any hindrance and do a good amount of damage.

His overall damage is 12 per round. Adding in the damage from thorns and the summoner trait, it comes to 18 per round with a healing of 2 per round.

Enough written, let the war commence!

Major Events

Round 1

Screenshot (637).png

In the first moments of the game, my summoner's trait eliminated the opposition's damage by 4 to 14 per round. After the first half of the first round, the first monster to fall was his Knifer even though the damage was diverted.

And, at the end of the first round, my tank falls.

Round 2

Screenshot (639).png

In the first part of the second round, his second monster falls.

Kain Hace takes care of the adjacent monster to the Mycelic Morphoid thanks to its trait blast.

At the end of the second round, Mycelic Morphoid falls.

Screenshot (642).png

At the end of the second round, my second monster falls and that gives him a brief moment of respite since my damage per round falls off by 7, just by felling one of my monsters.

Round 3

And at the end of the 3rd round, his entire army falls. And so, I had 3 monsters still at work.

Results

Since it is the gold leagues, most of my monsters can finally show their true potential on this grand canvas. People usually underestimate Kan Hace, I say that because I haven't seen any of this monster against me. Given that it has the least HP and second lowest speed but, given the right conditions that include protection or distraction, or special match conditions, this unit can outshine all the high-damage hulks along with their adjacent allies. Moreover, Dhampir Stalker is a monster with a one-track mind. Ic can only follow one direction and loses its focus on the other more important ones. That way, in the right conditions for the opposition, it could be a deadly combo for me. In this game, and the other one today, Kain Hace helped me beat multiple enemies at once, like in this game.
It doesn't need more polishing, just a bit of use to abuse enemies.
