Today, I shall show you guys a battle that is possibly the best match I've had today and fortunately, it does meet the requirements for the Battle Mage Secrets event.

So, without further ado, let's begin!

Battle Conditions

The mana cap is 35 and there are 5 summoners to choose from: Fire, Water, Nature, Life, and Death. With such a good mana cap, anyone could string up a nice Life, Fire, or Water deck but I chose Death summoner and my opposition took Nature's aid.

Battle Rules:-

• Tis' but Scratches: All monsters have the Cripple ability.
• Ferocity: All monsters have the Fury ability.

Battle Details

Let's start from my side:

Summoner: Thaddius Brood(Ability: Decrease in HP and Magic damage by 1 for all enemy monsters) (Level 5)

Tank: Cursed Windeku(Ability: Thorns, Heal).

Melee Attackers: Arachne Thug(Ability: Reach, Trample), Uraeus(Ability: Sneak, Poison), Silent Sha-vi(Ability: Sneak).

Magic Attacker: Venari Bonesmith(Ability: Life Leech, Poison).

Ranged Attacker: Dhampir Stalker(Ability: True Strike, Deathblow).

My strategy was to attack from the front and the back. With a huge mana cap, I thought I had to get as many monsters with Status affliction as possible. Hence, I placed Bonesmith in the middle of the deck to absorb as much HP as possible and possibly inflict poison. I kept Stalker in the second last place as I wanted it to survive, with its high damage capacity, it would do a lot of damage in the long run. Windeku at the forefront since it could absorb as much damage as possible and would self-heal. Thug right behind it since it would do good damage. Uraeus made the perfect unit to be placed in the center of the deck as it could inflict both status and melee damage.

My overall damage is 16 per round and a heal of 4 HP. Adding in the damage from the thorns, poison, deathblow, it would be 30! However, deathblow could only be triggered if the enemy monster is the only one remaining. A max of 33 damage if in that round Trample is triggered.

Now, for the opposition:

Summoner: Obsidian(Ability: Increase in Magic damage by 1 for all ally monsters). (Level 4)

Tank: Mycelic Splipspawn(Ability: Taunt, Forcefield).

Magic attackers: Regal PErytons(Ability: Flying), Queen Mycelia(Ability: Protect), Magi Of Chaos(No Ability), Psychic Goblin(Ability: Tank-Heal, Affliction*).

Blocked Melee attacker: Mycelic Morphoid(Ability: Thorns).

His strategy was to divert all the attention to his tank while the rest of his monsters would dump in a boatload of damage. His Peryton is the perfect monster to be behind the tank. It had flying and high speed which was more than enough for enemy monsters to miss should his tank fall. Queen Mycelia would provide protection to all monsters, and Goblin would heal the tank from the back with ease. He kept Morphoid in the back as a way to fend off attackers with thorns.

The overall damage is 9. Adding in the damage buff from the summoner and the thorns ability, it would be 16 per round with a heal of 2 HP.

Major Events

Deathblow was triggered and Stalker did a mighty damage of 8 and thus felled the first monster in the game.

Soon it turned into a 6 v 4 as my Sha-Vi deleted his Morphoid.

Near the end of the second round, my prized tank fell with an affliction so it could not self-heal.

His monsters quickly turn the tide and even the odds at the start of the 3rd round, as my Thug falls and his Peryton continues to persist and make my melee monsters miss.

Later, Sha-vi deleted the Goblin and hence achieved revenge. Finally, the table turned again in my favor. It was hit with poison thanks to Uraeus

Near the end of the 3rd round, his Peryton the ultimate survivor gets thrown off the game while being hit with poison.

At the start of the game, Sha-vi continues his frenzy from the back and deletes his Magi who was already inflicted with poison, making it a 4 v 1.

At the end of the 4th round, Uraeus delivers the finishing blow and down went the tall Queen while having poison.
