Cryptic's kit

In my opinion, cryptic is the most powerful summoner in this current meta in which his expose removes all innate passive abilities like immunity, shield, forcefield, and etc. making any tanks melt down unless of course with cleanse ability which brings back 1 exposed/removed ability in each turn and not all exposed abilities at one cleansing

His kit includes blind and slow as the main ability and a tactic ability which

1. 2 units will gain enfeeble (-1 melee damage every succesful attack) and retaliates

2. 2 units will gain expose (as mentioned above) and poison

Winrate and use % of cryptic

It has a high win-rate ratio and it is second next to lux vega. But significantly low usage % compared to lux vega because cryptic is costly and renting him cost almost 500-900 dec compared to lux vega that only cost less than 100 dec per day. Also his main units for optimizing him is costly too such as venka, daarg, endura brune, and anasth

Cryptic's strategy for the first tactic

You would like to optimize the first tactic **IF **the ruleset is a melee only ruleset or by rules one would be forced to use melee units and what you would like to do is put a tank at first position and a tank at last position (depending on the mana) and put the tactic on that first and last unit. I dont have many composition because it is very situational and very limited so let your creativity in lineup shine.. but here is a basic example of what you want to do

you would like to put tactic on the mantaroth to synergize retaliate with blast but i put orc to lure opportunity units on hitting the orc and get them damaged by thorns and if by chanced it survive longer than intended then it can be disastrous for the enemy. Then the second tactic would go to harklaw for defense on the sneak attackers.

Cryptic's strategy for the second tactic

The second tactic is the main reason why cryptic is very powerful but i dont want to elaborate it. The strategies top players do for the second tactic is to buff everything in speed and focus more on frontline damage and burst down everyone starting from the first position to the last but also you would like your tank to survive a couple of rounds so that your backline can kill your enemies. The main idea of the lineup is always same with only little variation, it goes like this

as indicated this is a 44 mana team comp but i can give you ideas for different mana pools.

it depends on you if you want to divert some damages by using taunt or go all in damage or speed.

as you can see almost every lineup is composed of +speed and slow monster because if you want your units to burst down the tank first before the enemies can act like heal their tank or cleanse the exposed abilities

note:

You dont need to always force a venka thinking you might not have enough damage. In my case i dont usually force a venka when there is a better choice defensively.

in the above mentioned lineups you would want to put the tactic skill on the fastest unit before venka hits. But when you dont have venka, you would like to put 1 on the fastest hitter and you most surviving unit like baakjira since we know that whale would survive until fatigue if he is properly protected. Why? because in some cases the fastest unit is the oshannus in the front line or the fastest is the most vulnerable which makes expose useless if they die early in the match.

cryptic is a very powerful summoner with above 50% with also a decent usage in champion league which indicates that it is powerful base on statistics. It is an unstoppable summoner once it is utilized properly pair it with its water's defensive and offensive capabilities and death's debuff it can help you win many matches.
