Combiné a Lava Launcher & Sarius en una batalla con las reglas Odd Ones Out & FiveAlive [Es/En]

¡Saludos comunidad! En el reto de esta semana quiero compartir con ustedes un análisis de mi experiencia utilizando una estrategia con el Splinter de Fuego. La cual considero una excelente opción para aquellas partidas con un límite de maná medio y con las reglas de batalla “Odd Ones Out” & “FiveAlive”. Es importante recordar que el tipo de ofensiva a utilizar en nuestras estrategias también dependerá del resto de reglas presentes en la batalla.

En esta oportunidad, les explicaré cómo afronté una batalla de Ranked de la liga de Plata en el formato Moderno, enfocando mi análisis en explicar cómo utilicé al Splinter de Fuego, el invocador Eternan Brune y a las unidades Venari Heatsmith, Radiated Brute, Lava Launcher, Sarius y Radiated Scorcher para ser coherente con las reglas de batalla presentes y las habilidades que quería combinar con la finalidad de tomar ventaja en la partida con la estrategia planteada.

Ya que estos aspectos son un factor clave con un impacto considerable en el desempeño de nuestras estrategias.

Hablemos sobre el conjunto de reglas presentes en la batalla, este es el punto de partida para iniciar el análisis que nos llevará a la elección más adecuada para afrontar la batalla.

Límite de maná igual a 28 puntos, esta cantidad nos permite elegir invocadores con un costo de maná entre 4 y 7 puntos. Aunque es importante tener una estrategia bien definida para aprovechar el maná restante para la elección adecuada de las unidades.

“Odd Ones Out”, es una regla que sólo permite utilizar unidades con un costo de maná impar. Por otra parte, “FiveAlive”, es una regla que sólo permite utilizar 5 unidades en la batalla.

Entonces, tomando en cuenta todos estos aspectos, decidí elegir al Splinter de Fuego, ya que cuenta con unidades que poseen buenas estadísticas, entre ellas, un buen daño melee y ranged. También cuenta con habilidades como: “Reach”, “Close Range”, “Stun”, “Bloodlust”, entre otras y con un invocador que reduce en 2 puntos la armadura del equipo enemigo y permite elegir una unidad de tipo Gladius en la batalla.

Hablemos sobre el equipo y la estrategia que conforma. Dadas las circunstancias, era evidente el uso de cualquier tipo de ataque. Es por ello que decidí elegir al invocador Eternan Brune, ya que reduce en 2 puntos la armadura del equipo enemigo y permite elegir una unidad de tipo Gladius en la batalla.

Venari Heatsmith fue el tanque en esta oportunidad, ya que cuenta con un costo de maná bajo y sus estadísticas le permiten resistir lo suficiente para dar tiempo al resto del equipo de debilitar al enemigo.

Radiated Brute contribuye con su ataque mediante la habilidad “Reach”. Además, cuando el tanque sea abatido, le tocará proteger al resto del equipo.

Lava Launcher es una de las unidades clave en la estrategia, ya que cuenta con un elevado daño y las habilidades “Close Range” y “Stun” le otorgan una ventaja considerable en la batalla.

Sarius es otra de las unidades clave, ya que también cuenta con un elevado daño y la habilidad “Bloodlust”.

Radiated Scorcher tiene el propósito de proteger a Sarius de los posibles ataques Sneaks enemigos.

Como les mencioné anteriormente, elegir al invocador Eternan Brune y a las unidades Venari Heatsmith, Radiated Brute, Lava Launcher, Sarius y Radiated Scorcher, fue una buena opción. Sin embargo, también es importante incluir habilidades de soporte que le permitan a nuestro tanque y al resto del equipo, resistir lo suficiente.

Observen como para el turno 4 de la ronda 2, el equipo enemigo estaba casi abatido. Venari Heatsmith y Radiated Scorcher cumplieron sus objetivos. Por otra parte, Radiated Brute, Lava Launcher y Sarius lograron abatir al enemigo.

La estrategia planteada hizo un uso eficiente de la cantidad de maná disponible, cubriendo aspectos tales como: resistencia contra el daño enemigo, soporte del equipo, una buena ofensiva, y coherencia con el conjunto de reglas presente.

Una debilidad de esta estrategia es un equipo enemigo que cuente con resistencia al daño melee y ranged e incluya habilidades como: “Protect”, “Repair”, “Tank Heal”, “Shield”, “Demoralize”, Opportunity”, entre otras.

La diferencia entre las estrategias fue que la ofensiva del equipo enemigo no contaba con un daño muy elevado, por lo que terminó siendo abatido rápidamente.

Para el funcionamiento adecuado de nuestras estrategias, es importante considerar todos los aspectos involucrados, por lo que no sólo debemos enfocarnos en las estadísticas y habilidades a combinar. También debemos tener en cuenta la influencia de los conjuntos de reglas sobre la estrategia.

In this opportunity, I will explain how I faced a Silver League Ranked battle in the Modern format, focusing my analysis on explaining how I used the Fire Splinter, the summoner Eternan Brune and the units Venari Heatsmith, Radiated Brute, Lava Launcher, Sarius and Radiated Scorcher to be consistent with the battle rules present and the skills I wanted to combine in order to take advantage in the game with the strategy proposed.

Since these aspects are a key factor with a considerable impact on the performance of our strategies.

Let's talk about the set of rules present in the battle, this is the starting point to begin the analysis that will lead us to the most appropriate choice to face the battle.

Let's talk about the team and its strategy. Given the circumstances, it was obvious to use any type of attack. That's why I decided to choose the Eternan Brune summoner, since it reduces the armor of the enemy team by 2 points and allows to choose a Gladius type unit in the battle.

Venari Heatsmith was the tank in this opportunity, since it has a low mana cost and its stats allow it to resist enough to give time to the rest of the team to weaken the enemy.

Radiated Brute contributes with its attack through the “Reach” ability. In addition, when the tank is downed, it will be up to him to protect the rest of the team.

Lava Launcher is one of the key units in the strategy, as it has high damage and the “Close Range” and “Stun” abilities give it a considerable advantage in battle.

Sarius is another key unit, as it also has high damage and the “Bloodlust” ability.

Radiated Scorcher is intended to protect Sarius from possible enemy Sneak attacks.

As I mentioned before, choosing the summoner Eternan Brune and the units Venari Heatsmith, Radiated Brute, Lava Launcher, Sarius and Radiated Scorcher was a good choice. However, it is also important to include support abilities that allow our tank and the rest of the team to resist enough.

Notice how by turn 4 of round 2, the enemy team was almost down. Venari Heatsmith and Radiated Scorcher met their objectives. On the other hand, Radiated Brute, Lava Launcher and Sarius managed to take down the enemy.

The strategy proposed made efficient use of the amount of mana available, covering aspects such as: resistance against enemy damage, team support, good offense, and coherence with the present rule set.

A weakness of this strategy is an enemy team that has resistance to melee and ranged damage and includes abilities such as: “Protect”, “Repair”, “Tank Heal”, “Shield”, “Demoralize”, “Opportunity”, among others.

The difference between the strategies was that the enemy team's offense did not have a very high damage, so it ended up being defeated quickly.

For the proper functioning of our strategies, it is important to consider all the aspects involved, so we should not only focus on the statistics and skills to combine. We must also take into account the influence of the rule sets on the strategy.
