Well, first of all, you can start watching the top battles in the ranked mode (It could be in Modern first). That will help you understand what cards you can use and how they work together.
Then, you can rent some cards at the lvl according to your league. I recommend you play some battles using the card combinations that you watched before. That way, you will understand how to use and combine the cards to play better.
Also, you can check my posts or those of other users about strategies and use them in your ranked battles. That may help you too.
