SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! CARRION SHADE
Hi everyone! It's time for the a weekly battle challenge, and I’ll be doing one with the Carrion Shade from the Death Splinter.
Ruleset
2. Close Range: Ranged attacks may be used in the first position in battle
3. Only Life, Water, Death and Dragon Splinters can be used
Cards & Line Up
Position | Name | Description |
---|---|---|
1 | Cursed Windeku | It has has 10 health and thorns against melee attacks. The high health will hopefully make my tank last longer than the opponent. |
2 | Shadowy Presence | It's low mana cost (1) and has 4 health, and is great as a secondary tank. |
3 | Carrion Shade | It’s low mana cost (1) too, and has flying, which will hopefully result in some attacks missing. It’s also acts as the secondary distraction after the opponent’s opportunity card takes down the corpse fiend. |
4 | Corpse Fiend | It’s 0 mana cost, and placed here as a distraction in case the opponent uses an opportunity card. |
5 | Venari Bonesmith | Placed in the second last position, as it has life leech, which will allow it to build up some health to tank some damage if the first four cards get finished off. It’s magic attacks bypasses any shields the opponent has too |
6 | Dark Astronomer | Placed in the last position as it has it has a damage of 2 and can still attack if it’s in the first position for this ruleset, even though it’s very slow. There's no sneak or snipe for this ruleset, so he'll be targeted last too. |
The strategy worked against my opponent even though he used Mother Khala (+1 health), with Truth Speaker for added shields, Pelacor Arbalest for double damage and Time Mage to slow me down. Thaddius Brood (-1 health) neutralised the opponent's added health, and the cards in the first few positions manage to last long enough for my Venari Bonesmith and Dark Astronomer to take out the opponent’s cards.
