SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! KULU SWIMHUNTER
Hi everyone! It's time for the a weekly battle challenge, and the challenge for this week is the Kulu Swimhunter.
Ruleset
Taking Sides: Neutral Monsters may not be used in battles
Only the Fire, Life, Water, Earth and Dragon Splinters can be used
Mana Cap: 12
Cards & Line Up
Summoner: Kelya Frendul - This increases the Speed and Shield of my whole deck by 1, and hopefully offset some Blast damage in this ruleset with the added Shield.
The Line Up
Position | Name | Description |
---|---|---|
1 | Hardy Stonefish | It comes with 1 Health and 1 Shield. Great as the first tank in a low mana fight |
2 | Albatross | The second 1 mana cost Monster as the secondary tank. |
3 | Torrent Fiend | It’s 0 cost and used to pad more damage from the opponent |
4 | Kulu Swimhunter | The key piece in this strategy. With 2 ranged attack, it meant do most of the damage in this fight. |
5 | Icy Pixie | Placed in the last position, to poke at the opponent, and hopefully the Monsters in front will last long enough for it to help kill off the opponent. |
Strategy
The strategy was to pad the frontline with 1 and 0 mana Monsters (along with the added Shield from Kelya Fendul) to absorb the initial damage, and to make use of the Kulu Swimhunter and Ice Pixie to met out damage. I was glad that my strategy worked better than expected and I had good luck, as I didn’t miss my hits on the evasive Serpent of Eld, and the battle finished much faster than I thought it would take.
My usual strategy for like mana fights would have been using the Death splinter but I think this is a good strategy as well.
Thoughts on the card
I rarely use the Kulu Swimhunter, but I think it’s a great card to have in low mana fights, as it has a decent damage of 2 and decent health of 4.
