SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! RADIATED BRUTE
Hi everyone! It's time for the a weekly battle challenge, and I’ll be doing one this week with the Radiated Brute.
Ruleset
Equalizer: The initial Health of all the Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base health
Only the Fire, Water, Death and Dragon Splinters can be used
Mana Cap: 34
Cards & Line Up
Position | Name | Description |
---|---|---|
1 | Antoid Platoon | I usually use the Living Lava as the main tank, but seeing that it’s the Equaliser and Opportunity ruleset, I thought it’s better to use the Antoid Platoon. Its shield ability allows it to reduce melee and ranged damage to it and last longer. With the Equal Opportunity ruleset it’s most likely to get hit first |
2 | Radiated Brute | It has the Reach ability to hit the opponent’s first position, which should be the case even with Equal Opportunity. |
3 | Ant Miners | Its Scavenger skill will help grow it’s health to tank more damage when the first 2 positions are taken down. Plus with Equalizer it gets to start off with at least 6 health (based on highest health from my deck) instead of the usual 1. |
4 | Living Lava | Place in position 4, to make use of the high damage (3+1) and to take advantage of Opportunity ruleset. |
5 | Djinn Inferni | Placed in the second last position, as it has high magic damage (3), which will hopefully help to take out the opponent’s tank fast, especially if he uses a pesky Monster with high dodge |
6 | Tenyii Striker | Placed in the last position as it has a decent amount of health, and has the Sneak ability to hit the opponent from the rear. |
This strategy is meant to take advantage of the Equal Opportunity and Equaliser Ruleset, as usually the tank will be targeted first since the health of all the Monsters will be the same. What I did not expect was that the opponent attacked from the rear with a Sneak card, and started taking me out from the backline instead. I was glad that my strategy still worked, as I managed to take out the very evasive Serpent of Eld with Djinn Inferno before it got finished off. The other cards kept missing! If I encounter this ruleset again, I’ll give this strategy another shot.
I like the Radiated Brute as it's one of the better Reach ability cards around. It has higher health (5+1) and better damage (2+1) when paired with Tarsa, and it great at helping to take out the tanks.
