Weekly Win Notes: Antoid Platoon Splinterlands Battle Challenge
The Antoid Platoon is the feature card for this week's Splinterlands Weekly Battle challenge. A four-mana Chaos Legion common, and therefore available as part of the starter set, the card is a staple in the current meta and will mostly likely see heavy play in Modern when it is released.
Overall Impressions
If you put several Ant Miners together, do you get an Antoid Platoon? I want to see both cards at max level used together more please. In all seriousness, you can see the great versatility of the Antoid Platoon below, particularly as a low mana tank, but also at higher levels in rules like Earthquake.
Antoid Platoon and Tenyii Striker look like they might lose here at first glance against the Gold Foil enemies, but they stand up strong. A nice win to start us off.

Uraeus is the only card in the battle that is not Gold Foil. In Reverse Speed rules, though, sometimes lower level can in fact be better. Red is victorious over Blue. Old cards don't always win over new.

Minimum level Gold Foil Antoid Platoon mirror match. No matter which team wins or loses, the card is present - a good sign. The Scorch Fiend on the winning team adds an extra body.

Minimum level Antoid Platoon used in combination with Quix, the Devious. Nice to see. And the team gets the win too, with Dhampir Infiltrator and Twilight Basilisk doing some work too, more than the old-fashioned Axemaster.

Perfect Gold League team versus perfect Silver League team. This is not a fair fight. But we get to see some higher level versions of the Red cards go to work in a pleasing way.

Level 8 Antoid Platoon here in Earthquake rules. The Scavenger and Shield are huge together here against a team that is all Melee Attack and no Flying.

Level 4 Tarsa with a mixed-level team. Success. The Antoid Platoon is Level 4. This is enough.

Nearly perfect Silver League team beats up on not-so-perfect Bronze League team. No real surprises here. Nice to see Red beat Green without resorting to Blast spam.

Again Level 4 Tarsa with mixed level cards. Another nice success. Another Red beats Green scenario. Good to see variety in Red.

Nearly perfect Bronze team beats a tough opponent that might do better with perfect levels instead of Level 1. Tarsa beats Selenia. Nice win. Antoid at the front.

Very similar Tarsa teams go to war here with very similar mixed level cards. Antoid at the front in both cases. Level 4 versus Level 1. The team with the Level 4 comes out on top.
