It's officially spring!
Hi everyone!
Today I ran 4.45kms in 31:28 with an elevation of 132m and I burnt 307 calories. It was 7C and lightly raining the entire time.
I was really happy with my time... the soles of my feet weren't super happy with the run, I obviously need more work on my conditioning, but I kept pushing even when I really didn't want to.
I was kind of mad at myself for not working out on the weekend... completely forgetting that I did a bunch of farming stuff. We got a bunch of veggies and I set up the veggie patch and planted them yesterday. Absolutely brutal on the back but I got through it.
Watered them in straight after planting them, and then it rained almost the entire night... but they haven't washed away yet, so we're winning already. I still have absolutely no idea what I'm doing, but I assume everyone should be growing food if they can at this point.
Combined with our 10 fruit trees (that are still babies really but we should see some fruit), our veggie box full of raspberries and the wild blackberries at the back of our property were hoping for a bunch of homegrown food. At the very least it's extremely satisfying.
Just scored this guy:
I've played him once already and he's real tough... he's going to work really well with (surely) his bestie:
In those high mana Splinterlands battles.
It has made me realise that that the Dragon splinter doesn't have a lot of healers. I really need to max out Byzantine Kitty, otherwise I'm going to have to figure out who best to match them with. I imagine the Centari Mage and Spirit of the Forest from the Earth splinter would support these two very well.
The Chaos Legion airdrops really are one of the most incredible aspects of the game. It just brings so much value to buying packs. The one thing that you can't really put a monetary value on is the way these airdropped cards add that little touch of extra excitement to the game... new strategies to try out, new counters to adopt. It's so super fun.
Anyway, I hope everyone is well.
I initially thought they were graves x_x
Don't worry you'll get ideas soon enough. There's at least one community on here full of people that know what they're doing and there is the internet and soon you'll be pro :)
Hahaha, you're actually not the first person to say that... and you know what, you're both right, these are the graves of my dependence on capitalism!
Not really, but maybe a tiny step towards that...
Yes! I forgot about the whole homesteading community on Hive. You're right I should dig in and see what I can find. Thank you!
Hahaha I agree with the other person I thought they were tombs and it caught my attention 😅 but what a great idea you have had here I congratulate you on planting it is a great life project 👩🏻🌾 I hope everything is how you want it. And don't worry about the days you didn't exercise, you were doing something useful and that's very, very good. 🍀
Thank you so much Daniela! It's not quite as exciting as being a great tour guide for natural waterfalls but it's still fun. I really am excited to see how these little planty friends grow... I've never done it before so hopefully I've done it right, but if not, at least I'll learn a lot.
Enjoy the process and the learning that all this leaves you, successes 👩🏻🌾🍀🌷
