# Didn't quite make it... - Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 56 Report Card

Hi everyone!

I did something silly last season.

For some reason I got it in my head that I'll work on my Modern ranking first, get it up to Diamond II (I started the season in Gold I) and then I could spend the remainder of the season in Wild trying to rack up as many Glint rewards as I possibly could.

Unfortunately, the season was about 7 days in before I got anywhere close to Diamond II... and then in the remainder of the time I couldn't get the amount of Glint (538K Glint to get batch 1 of both Legendary and Epic draws).

I completely forgot it's easier to advance at the end of the season compared to the start.

So, for this current season..

... I'm going to concentrate on Wild to drum up as much Glint as I can... and maybe lift Modern up to Diamond II in the last day or two so I don't sink down too far.

I also tried to purchase some Minor Loot Chests to win some energy to play more games. I figured that since I receive about 1,000 Glint per win... if I bought 5 chests (200 Glint each) as long as I found some Energy, and then won again, I'd be out ahead... then I'd essentially be getting cards and merits for free.

I spent 1,000 Glint on 5 Minor Loot Chests, didn't get any energy.
I spent another 2,000 Glint on another 10 Minor Loot Chests, I got 1 more energy - which I immediately lost with...

... so for me, the Loot Chests aren't worth it until I'm chasing Common cards... and then they might be superior to the Common Draws because of the Merits and Energy.

I lost... a lot of games... especially in Modern.

Last Season I had a Modern Win/Loss ratio of 1.15 (68/59) - so yeah, I'm not going to spend so much time in there again. The Glint rewards are just so much better in Wild and that's really what I'm after at this point.

I played my first tournament for the first time in a long time.
It was a Guild Tournament run by @brybro27 and was such a good time! I really loved it and can't wait for the next one. The ghost tournament took a lot of getting used to, there's so many cards I don't normally play with, but it was really exciting to try them out... and I was just bumped out of the top 10 on points to continue into Round 2.

It pains me to say that my former arch-nemesis did something really well and created something very fun that I'm looking forward to... so I guess I won't.

It was... no lie... stressful representing the Immortal Gods guild considering we do have some of the best players in the game - but I was very excited to get the opportunity.

I was aiming for 538K Glint... (187,500 for 25 Batch 1 Epic Draws and 350,000 for 10 Batch 1 Legendary Draws), but obviously did not get there...

I'm going to continue to try and max out the Legendaries first, purely because they're so much more expensive to buy on the secondary market if I don't max them out before this reward set ends.

Also... I realized I haven't been using Gold potions in the last two seasons, and that was really silly... it takes way less cards to level up to Gold Foil versions.

I've got 94K Glint left to spend so I'm going to buy 12 Epic Draws with no potions...

Oh nice! I do get very excited when I find a game to play Olivia in.... she's definitely won a couple of games for me.

I am a little disappointed I didn't get any Halfling Refugee cards. I've been two cards from getting the self-heal ability for two seasons. I love that it is available on the market but I don't have the DEC available to buy them at the minute.

Excited to have Sergeant Grauzral at Level 3... great card for poison rulsets...

Death Ranger is a very good card in Ranged Only rulesets too... really want to max that card out. I'm one card away from getting Arachne Weaver to Level 3 which would be a huge upgrade too... hopefully next season!
