It seems like ages since the last time I did a Share Your Battle Weekly Challenge, and somehow it was.
In the last months so much was going on...I just became father for the first time, I'm working on bringing my illustration skills into an upcoming NFT project, I'm traveling a lot... still I'm very happy to be back to @splinterlands and @play2earn community to share some battle skills.

This week battle is about a Chaos Legion Water card. This cute little monster might look harmless and not your first choice when you want to destroy your opponent, but it might be a very useful weapon, especially from level 4 where it gains triage and the ability to heal backline monsters.
This little dude might just be perfect against Sneak attacks if you use it carefully!

Angelic Mandarin

A variety of the already beautiful mandarinfish, the Angelic Mandarinfish is said to be blessed by the magic of the sea. They swim in the most gorgeous of tropical waters, and live peaceful lives in harmony with all around them. It is said that the touch of an Angelic Mandarinfish has healing properties. And that if one sees an injured person in need, they will swim up and stare into your eyes. As if looking into your soul. If they deem you to be kind, they will heal your wounds.

MY STRATEGY

My idea to use this little Angelic Mandarin was to use it at the bottom of backline, in a battle with Equalizer and Rise of the Commons ruleset. I thought these were the perfect conditions to show the skills of this Angelic Monster, with no big beast around dominating the game.

With Rise of the Commons ruleset I normally try to use a very powerful Summoner to take advantage of the situation: in this case it was defensive king Lir Deepswinnner. As a tank I used Serpent of Eld, with his ability to avoid enemy shots and enhanced health due to Equalizer ruleset.
The tank was followed by Sabre Shark, Deeplurker, Venari Wavesmith, Merdali Guardian and our little Angelic Mandarin.
The strategy was simple: with Equalizer ruleset I try to use card with good attack and speed and little health, because this weakness is going to be taken away.

My strategy worked pretty well, I was able to defend myself from enemy's sneak attacks and heal my tank, which at the end led to a good victory against a much more powerful enemy!
