Most cost-efficient method to spend your glint (my take on it)

Introduction

To determine the most cost-efficient method (Rarity Draws vs. Minor, Major, or Ultimate Chests) for maxing out the set of cards, we need to calculate the expected Glint costs for obtaining the required number of copies for each rarity of card using the different methods.

Here’s a detailed breakdown...

Card Requirements for Maxing Out:

Common Cards: 12 cards, 400 copies each = 4,800 total copies.
Rare Cards: 12 cards, 116 copies each = 1,392 total copies.
Epic Cards: 7 cards, 46 copies each = 322 total copies.
Legendary Cards: 12 cards, 11 copies each = 132 total copies.

Rarity Draws

Common Draw:

Cost per Draw: 150 Glint
Total Copies Needed: 4,800
Total Glint Required:

4,800×150=720,000 Glint

Rare Draw:

rare

Cost per Draw: 750 Glint
Total Copies Needed: 1,392
Total Glint Required:

1,392×750=1,044,000 Glint

Epic Draw:

epic

Cost per Draw: 7,500 Glint
Total Copies Needed: 322
Total Glint Required:

322×7,500=2,415,000 Glint

Legendary Draw:

Cost per Draw: 35,000 Glint
Total Copies Needed: 132
Total Glint Required:

132×35,000=4,620,000 Glint

Total Glint Cost for Rarity Draws:

720,000+1,044,000+2,415,000+4,620,000=8,799,000 Glint

Note: This is the minimal glint if you are very lucky and you are not getting copies over the max.

Chest (try to calculate)

This part is somewhat harder there are more option. I try to calculate how much glint you need per chest.
So you only buy minor chest, at batch 1 how much will it cost to complete the set. Same for the major and ultimate chests.

Chest Drop Rates and Potions

You will use a Legendary Potion, which doubles the chances of getting Epic and Legendary cards.
Percentage of Chests Containing Cards (for every chest the same): 33%

Here's how this affects the drop rates for each chest type:

Minor Chests

Drop rate: 78.9% of card-containing chests.
Effective drop rate: 78.9% of 33% = 26.037%
Expected commons per chest: 26.037% x 1 Common = 0.2604 Common cards per chest.

Target: 4,800 copies.
Total Minor chests needed: 4,800 / 0.2604 ≈ 18,432 chests.

Rare Cards:

Drop rate: 20% of card-containing chests.
Effective drop rate: 20% of 33% = 6.6%
Expected rares per chest: 6.6% x 1 Rare = 0.066 Rare cards per chest.

Target: 1,392 copies.
Total Minor chests needed: 1,392 / 0.066 ≈ 21,091 chests.

Epic Cards:

Drop rate: 1% of card-containing chests.
Effective drop rate: 1% of 33% = 0.33%
Expected epics per chest: 0.33% x 1 Epic = 0.0033 Epic cards per chest.

Target: 322 copies.
Total Minor chests needed: 322 / 0.0033 ≈ 97,576 chests.

Legendary Cards:

Drop rate: 0.2% of card-containing chests (with Legendary Potion).
Effective drop rate: 0.2% of 33% = 0.066%
Expected Legendaries per chest: 0.066% x 1 Legendary = 0.00066 Legendary cards per chest.

Target: 132 copies.
Total Minor chests needed: 132 / 0.00066 ≈ 200,000 chests.

GLINT needed

Total chests needed (for complete set): 200,000 chests.
Total Glint:

200,000 x 200 Glint = 40,000,000 Glint.

Major Chests

Drop rate: 76% of card-containing chests.
Effective drop rate: 76% of 33% = 25.08%
Expected Commons per chest: 25.08% x 2-6 Commons = 0.502 to 1.504 Common cards per chest.

Target: 4,800 copies.
Total Major chests needed: 4,800 / 1.504 ≈ 3,192 chests.

Rare Cards:

Drop rate: 20% of card-containing chests.
Effective drop rate: 20% of 33% = 6.6%
Expected rares per chest: 6.6% x 1-5 Rares = 0.066 to 0.33 Rare cards per chest.

Target: 1,392 copies.
Total Major chests needed: 1,392 / 0.33 ≈ 4,218 chests.

Epic Cards:

Drop rate: 6% of card-containing chests (with Legendary Potion).
Effective drop rate: 6% of 33% = 1.98%
Expected Epics per chest: 1.98% x 1-2 Epics = 0.0198 to 0.0396 Epic cards per chest.

Target: 322 copies.
Total Major chests needed: 322 / 0.0396 ≈ 8,131 chests.

Legendary Cards:

Drop rate: 2% of card-containing chests (with Legendary Potion).
Effective drop rate: 2% of 33% = 0.66%
Expected Legendaries per chest: 0.66% x 1 Legendary = 0.0066 Legendary cards per chest.

Target: 132 copies.
Total Major chests needed: 132 / 0.0066 ≈ 20,000 chests.

GLINT needed

Ultimate Chests

Total Ultimate chests needed: 4,800 / 2.49744 ≈ 1,922 chests.

Rare Cards:

Drop rate: 20% of card-containing chests.
Effective drop rate: 20% of 33% = 6.6%
Expected Rares per chest: 6.6% x 3-9 Rares = 0.198 to 0.594 Rare cards per chest.

Target: 1,392 copies.
Total Ultimate chests needed: 1,392 / 0.594 ≈ 2,344 chests.

Epic Cards:

Drop rate: 8% of card-containing chests (with Legendary Potion).
Effective drop rate: 8% of 33% = 2.64%
Expected Epics per chest: 2.64% x 1-2 Epics = 0.0264 to 0.0528 Epic cards per chest.

Target: 322 copies.
Total Ultimate chests needed: 322 / 0.0528 ≈ 6,098 chests.

Legendary Cards:

Drop rate: 3.2% of card-containing chests (with Legendary Potion).
Effective drop rate: 3.2% of 33% = 1.056%
Expected Legendaries per chest: 1.056% x 1-2 Legendaries = 0.01056 to 0.02112 Legendary cards per chest.

Target: 132 copies.
Total Ultimate chests needed: 132 / 0.01056 ≈ 12,500 chests (conservative estimate).

GLINT needed

Total chests ceeded (for complete set): 12,500 chests.
Total Glint:

12,500 x 4,500 Glint = 56,250,000 Glint.

Total Estimated Glint

To complete the set with each chest type:

Minor chests: 40,000,000 Glint required.
Major chests: 20,000,000 Glint required.
Ultimate chests: 56,250,000 Glint required.

Chest conclusion

Optimal chest only strategy: Buying Major Chests appears to be the most cost-effective route, needing approximately 20,000,000 Glint to complete your card set, assuming average luck. Ultimate Chests provide a faster but more expensive route, while Minor Chests are less efficient.

My conclusion

Its all a gamble i think i will do a mixed strategy...
Buying every season 150 major chest (150,000 Glint) then i will buy legendary rarity draws with the rest of my glint i hope 350,000. So i need every season to earn 500K glint 🤯. This is probably not achievable.

Might also do epic rarity draws because does cards seems to be better.

This are is my current glint earnings:

The last 2 season i increased glint earning by renting SPS and buying extra energy, so this is not accurate anymore.
This season (141) i did not rent any SPS or purchased energy. This way I get a baseline number to start calculating how much is needed to increase my glint earnings to reach 500K glint per season structurally.

One extra tip

Do not buy your chests on the first day of the season.
You will get extra energy this is better spend when you have climbed the rating ladder.

At the beginning you have pushed down a few leagues so glint earnings is less.
First move back to your position where you ended. This way every energy is spend with the biggest glint in return.
