I opened some Nightnare packs

It has been a while since I looked at Splinterlands assets because of life events and what not. However, earlier today, I looked at my collection and I noticed that I had some nightmare packs that I hadn't opened.

For anyone wondering what a nightmare pack is; it is the packs that house the assets used in the tower defence game that's on the Splinterlands ecosystem. The game is called Soulkeep and it seems quite easy to play.

I got a few games under my belt today and it was simple enough. I also opened some packs to see what kind of towers I'd get and well, so far so good.

Just like standard splinterlands fashion, there were towers of different rarities and also gold foils, as well as standard foils. I got a bit of everything from the packs I opened and I also noticed something interesting about the cards that I'm guessing has been also implemented in SPlinterlands.

Basically, all the towers you receive from opening packs are locked and require a three-day unlocking period before you can sell them. I say, fair enough, at least this way, people won't rush to dump them in the market and will look to use them in the game.

On the other hand, this might adversely affect the trading volume for the said assets. WHen new assets hit the market, they won't be instantly sold but the assets that have been around for a while will not have trading volume issues.

In any case, it was nice to open packs again. I can't even remember how much I spent to buy those 20 nightmare packs but after opening ten of them, Peakmonsters shows that the total value of the cards I got is around $22. I'll try to get a bit more active in the game and see how I can put the towers to work.
