Greetings creative friends and artisans, I wish you a happy start of the week full of infinite blessings, this time I share the elaboration of a colorful skirt inspired by Kiara Lightbringer, a character from the Splinterlands cards; the skirt is part of a collection I'm making for a doll, this is the third outfit I sew for her, taking as reference and inspiration the characters of the game; for its making I used fabrics of different textures and elongation, which did not allow me to hem the hem and I chose to make a cut with zigzag scissors that looked very good on the skirt.
Saludos amigos creativos y artesanos, les deseo un feliz inicio de semana cargado de infinitas bendiciones, en esta ocasión comparto la elaboración de una falda colorida inspirada en Kiara Lightbringer, un personaje de las cartas de Splinterlands; la falda forma parte de una colección que estoy armando para una muñeca, este es el tercer atuendo que coso para ella, tomando como referencia e inspiración los personajes del juego; para su confección usé telas de diferentes texturas y elongación, lo cual no me permitió coser un dobladillo el ruedo y opté por hacer un corté con tijera de zigzag que quedó muy bien en la falda.

The elaboration of this colorful skirt is simple, to give it a circular shape I marked and cut several triangles of fabric and a pink ribbon to make the waistband.

La elaboración de esta colorida falda es sencilla, para darle forma circular marqué y corté varios triángulos de tela y una cinta color rosa para hacer la pretina.
Then I faced them on the right side and sewed combining two colors as the character wears the skirt; red with orange, yellow with green, blue with purple and sewed one of the ends with a straight stitch.
Luego los enfrenté por el derecho y cosí combinando dos colores tal como lleva la falda el personaje; rojo con naranja, amarillo con verde, azul con morado y cosí uno de los extremos con puntada recta.
Once the pairs of triangles were sewn, I faced the right sides again combining orange and yellow, then I sewed and faced the next part of the skirt combining the colors blue and green, I also joined the rest of the triangles and formed the skirt.
Cosidos los pares de triángulos, enfrenté nuevamente los derechos combinando naranja y amarillo, luego cosí y enfrenté la siguiente parte de la falda combinando los colores azul y verde, también uní el resto de los triángulos y formé la falda.
The next step was to close the skirt at the back and sew a small hem at the top to make a ruffle.
El siguiente paso fue cerrar la falda en la parte trasera y coser un pequeño dobladillo en la parte superior para hacer un rufle.
To finish I faced the waistband with the right side of the skirt; I sewed with a straight stitch and turned, this way the seams are hidden, then I folded the waistband to the back and sewed matching the previous seam; with zigzag scissors I cut the hem of the skirt, which adds a different finish to the garment.
Para finalizar enfrenté la cinta de la cintura con el derecho de la falda; cosí con puntada recta y volteé, de esta forma las costuras quedan ocultas , luego doblé la pretina hacia el revés y cosí haciendo coincidir con la costura anterior; con tijera de zigzag corté el ruedo de la falda, lo cual añade un acabado diferente a la prenda.
The result of the colorful skirt for the doll I loved and she looks very pretty, to complement her outfit I made her a pink flannel with V-neck, the Splinterlands cards, have a wide variety of characters with original outfits that serve as inspiration to create cute designs; I hope in the coming days to advance in the new clothes for the doll.
El resultado de la falda colorida para la muñeca me encantó y se ve muy guapa, para complementar su atuendo le hice una franela rosada con cuello en V, las cartas de Splinterlands, tienen una amplia variedad de personajes con originales atuendos que sirven de inspiración para crear lindos diseños; espero en los próximos días avanzar en las nuevas prendas para la muñeca.
