Fan Art; Medusa-inspired square neckline top (Eng - Esp)
Greetings creative friends and artisans of this beautiful community, I wish you are enjoying good health and have a blessed and prosperous week together with your loved ones, today I share my creative project inspired by [Medusa] a character from the Splinterlands letters that lives at the bottom of the ocean, at the bottom she wears a golden top and its respective necklace; this type of outfit is trending for its comfort and freshness, they are also an excellent choice for warm climates.
Saludos amigos creativos y artesanos de esta hermosa comunidad, deseo se encuentren disfrtando de buena salud y tengan una bendecida y próspera semana en unión de sus seres queridos, hoy comparto mi proyecto creativo inspirado en [Medusa] un personaje de la cartas de Splinterlands que vive en el fondo del océano, en la parte inferior lleva como atuendo un top dorado y su respectivo collar; este tipo de atuendo está en tendencia por su comodidad y frescura, además son una excelente opción para los climas cálidos.

After reviewing the Medusa top I made a small modification to the base pattern by making a square neckline in the front for the back I adapted a sporty cut model, ready the patterns I marked and cut two back pieces and two front pieces to match.
Luego de revisar el top de Medusa hice una pequeña modificación al patrón base haciendo un escote cuadrado en la parte delantera para la parte trasera adapté un modelo de corte deportivo, listos los patrones marqué y corté dos piezas traseras y dos delanteras para embonar.
The next step was to face the rights of the back and front, I pinned and sewed with straight stitch the neck and armhole; when facing the back I realized that I made the reverse cut on one of the pieces and I had to mark it on a blue fabric, the yellow fabric as much as I tried to join the leftovers was not enough.
El siguiente paso fue enfrentar los derechos de la parte trasera y parte delantera, sujeté con alfileres y cosí con puntada recta el cuello y sisa; al momento de enfrentar la parte trasera me di cuenta que hice el corte a la inversa en una de las piezas y tuve que marcarla en una tela de color azul, la tela amarilla por más que intenté unir los sobrantes no alcanzó.
Once the neck and armhole were sewn, I faced the right side and joined the shoulders, to reinforce the seam I used double straight stitch and zigzag stitch.
Cosidos el cuello y la sisa, enfrenté por el derecho y uní los hombros, para reforzar la costura pasé doble puntada recta y zigzag.
The fourth step was to close the sides with a straight stitch facing the right side and matching the armhole seams.

To make the sash I cut two strips of sixty (60) centimeters long by seven (7) wide, sewed at the ends, turned right side out, made a fold in the middle and sewed the edges with zigzag stitch.
Para hacer el fajón corté dos tiras de sesenta (60) centímetros de largo por siete (7) de ancho, cosí en los extremos , volteeé por derecho, hice un doblez a la mitad y cosí con puntada de zigzag las orillas.

I really like this kind of garments, they are comfortable and easy to make, it is important to choose a fabric with enough elongation and also fresh; it is the first time I use rib to make a top and I loved the result, in previous projects I have used jersey fabric and micro peach 180, both are also very good for tops. Este tipo de prendas me gusta mucho, son cómodos y sencillos de elaborar, es importante escoger una tela con suficente elongación y además fresca; es la primera vez que uso rib para hacer un top y el resultado me encantó, en proyectos anteriores he usado tela jersey y micro durazno 180, ambas son también muy buenas para los top.
