How to WIN in WOO? Some basic tips and strategies.

A Big Hello to all WOO Fans! 🥳🥳🥳 WOO!

Now that the month long 500 HIVE campaign has concluded, I think it's a good time to talk about playing strategy. I encountered a question in the WOO Discord just today which touched on this topic.

As good fortune would have it, it was the winner (or rather the person who won the largest share of the pie) @stekene which gave some very good tips to another player.

-Why am I so terrible? I must be missing something. What's the strategy? Maybe my cards are not good but I feel like 200+ cards is enough. No golds but just bought one off market. Anyone posting about strategies?

A pretty common question asked by most players who have just dipped their toes into any new game. Even having a large number of cards might not be enough to guarantee a win if you do not have any good strategy to fully utilise them.

-But in essence, a lot comes to the interaction between Powerhouse, Technical and High-flying
-If you understand that mechanism, than you'll have to try to predict what your opponent will use and than utilize/abuse the said mechanism
-Of course levelled cards will help, but even with level one's you can achieve a lot if you understand the game fully
-Or if budget is limited, try to see where the power spikes of certain wrestlers are and just level them to a certain level

@Stekene definitely gave some very good general advice.

WOO is essentially a "rock paper scissors" type of game with the three different styles having an advantage over each other. It is very hard to beat a similar levelled deck of an opposing style which you are weak to bar some very specific circumstances or RNG.

Of course, levelling cards also give you a raw power advantage, but one must also take note of the next significant power gain for every card when you level them up to gain maximum bang for your buck.

-For example, leveling Ivan Schieder to level 2 is useless. In that case it's better to have him lvl 1 or level up till lvl 3
-Yes, lvl1 mad mike is useless as often said before
-lvl 2 is useless as well as he lose 1 speed

The 3 above examples are very good situations in which just simply levelling and blindly using cards do not give you any advantage versus your opponents.

In fact, in the case of said Mad Mike (who currently has no ability to win at level 1), levelling him up to level 2 will make him even worse as he loses stats! 😱
