Splinterlands Share Your Battle Weekly Challenge - Animated Corpse

Here's the first time I'm doing a "Share Your Battle Weekly Challenge". The highlight of the week is the Animated Corpse.

Now, I've got to say that personally, the Animated Corpse is not a card that I'll usually use in my Death decks. This is a card which seems to be right in the middle of everywhere, neither particularly good in one area or another.

At level 4 however, it does get the Void ability, which gives it an edge against any Magic Attack foes.

There is one particular ruleset in which the Animated Corpse shines though, and that's during Little League. At the 4 cost and below range, this guy suddenly becomes quite the TANK!

Let me present a "Little League Battle" I had recently where BOTH ME & MY OPPONENT fielded the Animated Corpse as the frontline tank for both our lineups!

Our lineups were similar, but my opponent was higher leveled than me, and with my more magic focused backline, I fell prey to the VOID ability of a level 4 Animated Corpse. 😭

I would think that the battle would have been slightly more in my favor if not for the level difference. As this was also an earthquake match, we both used the same flying units too. But once again, on that front, I was out leveled. The VOID on the opponent's Animated Corpse was the gamechanger though, as without that, my magic units with drain would probably have outlasted the earthquakes compared to his units.

Ironically, losing to a higher level Animated Corpse really showed me its potential. I would say, this card definitely should be used in Death deck with Little League rulesets almost all the time.
