It's that day of the week in which I find the most interesting Splinterlands experience I've had over the past week to share! That fits in perfectly with the theme of the weekly Splinterlands Social Media Challenge too!

But first, a quick look at what happened this week in the world of crypto.

It's been a week of ups and downs in the crypto markets. There were lots of liquidations and fears of doom when BTC "crashed" all the way down to $56k and then a lot more liquidations when it recovered back to $64k. I guess that's crypto for you. If anything is guaranteed, a wild heart attack inducing trip is surely one of them. It won't matter if you intend to be a diamond hands HODLER for the long term though. 📈🚀

A brief introduction before I start though...

Good Day to all Splinterlands players! (and people of HIVE! 😜) I've made it a point to blog about my weekly progress and experiences in Splinterlands/HIVE in my "weekly diary". Splinterlands & HIVE are what I'd consider to be my entry point into the World of Crypto, and I intend to use this as a means to look back on the path I've taken in the years ahead.⏳⏳⏳

This is now the 128th consecutive week writing in my Diary (of sorts) detailing my Splinterlands Journey ever since I started this game. I talk about what has gone on my personal Splinterlands playing experience, my weekly Guild Brawl Reports, and also any Splinterlands ingame news. 🎉🥳🎊

No week goes by in Splinterlands without some news event happening though. And here's my pick of some of the most interesting ones in my opinion. 📰📰📰

This week's Social Media Challenge is all about sharing our remarkable Splinterlands moments. I'd have shared my daily and weekly activities in the past, BUT, usually, nothing really special really happens in my daily Splinterlands daily grind, so let's hope this is more interesting for reading?... let's get down to it! 🤣

We are deep into the changes made to the League Level limits in battles. No longer are "low level" players protected by their league limits. This often leads to some very lopsided battles.

The Splinterlands Halving promotional event has just ended and we've had yet another tweak to the GLINT system again! I guess things are moving really fast as the team attempts to navigate changes and make tweaks.

The current system still rewards everyone with Glint at the end of season, but instead of getting double of what one earns at the end of season, it is now the equivalent of one's earnings. To make up for that change, GLINT earnings are now increased by 50% per winning game. Overall, it seems like there isn't much of any change so it's basically just a matter of instant gratification or not.

The verdict is still out though. I think we can expect a few more changes before this new system stabilises.

In the meantime though, let me once again showcase some really great underdog victories I have achieved this past week!

⚔️🛡️My Battle Showcase🛡️⚔️

Let me present a battle (or some battles) I fought recently in which I managed, against all odds, to win these players who out levelled me on an order of magnitude that I couldn't imagine. Victory or defeat would lie in the small details. 😱

The initial reaction to seeing a complete level 1 team VS someone 6 times higher in levels would be instant dismissal. I myself wouldn't have bet on me at the first glance. This was a matchup of epic DIS-proportions! 🤣

At the end of the day, what really won it for me was likely the fact that the ruleset WANDS OUT forced the opponent (and myself) to be restricted ONLY to magic attacking units. That allowed me to pick the most anti magic defensive team I could muster and pray that the opponent would let his guard down at my low levels and make a mistake.

Thankfully, he/she took the bait and was completely unprepared for the combination of VOID and SILENCE from my Immortalis and Mushroom Seer! The anti magic damage reduction really put a dent into my opponent's attacks and allowed me to weather out his onslaught and allowed me a slow grind to victory!

Who would have guessed that my lowly teams would have been able to pull off such David VS Goliath upset wins? I guess nothing is impossible and sometimes, all you need is some luck and great strategy!

I definitely can appreciate how utilising the most of your deck's strengths can lead to unexpected outcomes. This is one of those situations in which Davids can beat Goliaths if surrounded with the proper team. The role every single carefully selected unit brings to the battlefield will give a player the edge in squeezing out every tiny advantage to get the win. 👍🏻

For any players who feel daunted with the new battle level changes, I hope this article has given you some insight into the potential of every single card regardless of it's level. 😉
