Sabu’s Journey from Retirement to a Possible Comeback

• Back in 2021:
  • Sabu was done with wrestling, focusing only on conventions and signings.

• Early 2024 Revelation:
  • On Brisco and Bradshaw's podcast, Sabu expressed his desire to have one more match.

• Reason for the Change:
  • Feeling unsatisfied with how his last match went.
  • Wants to avoid ending his career on a sour note.

• Condition for the Comeback:
  • Sabu will only return if he feels up to it physically.
  • Prefers a singles match but is open to a tag match, ideally with Van Dam as his partner.

• Potential Opponents:
  • Open to facing Van Dam.
  • Interested in a last match with Cactus Jack.
  • Considering a tag match with Van Dam against Cactus Jack and another opponent.

• Body Condition:
  • Despite some improvement, Sabu admits he doesn’t feel great but can manage the pain.
  • Regular workouts have helped him feel better over time.

• Training Regimen:
  • Focuses on failure training rather than more reps or lighter weights.
  • Avoids squats due to high risk, preferring leg machines and hack lifts.

• Weight Gain Goal:
  • Aims to gain 20 more pounds to not just look the part but be the part.

  • Sabu has always considered having a match in Japan.
