Plado Emberstorm - Splinterlands Art Contest Week 166

This is my second entry and my first time trying to draw something in the Paint3D on my computer. I chose Plado because he's one of my favorite summoners. That fire blast is a valuable ability and normally wreaks havoc on your opponent. Of course, he's in the Fire splinter and I used the lore page to get an image that I wanted to create:

First was to try and sketch a light image on my canvas:

I almost gave up at that point, thinking it was too hard to make that pen do what I wanted. But as I worked on it little by little I discovered ways to make it easier. Here's after a few more hours of work:

After I had a image I could be somewhat satisfied with I drew in the outlines better with black in preparation of coloring in the drawing:

Next came the coloring. This was a real learning experience, lol. But I love the color wheel and being able to create custom colors. And the different pen and brushes that are available.

Next I wanted to apply the black background to make it resemble the original picture. I had to experiment and redo a couple of times to get it to work.

Then I transferred the canvas to LunaPic to add the title, flames, and border:

And the piece is complete!
