Cryptic : A Dual Element Summoner with killer Stats

Splinterlands is a game that requires brain work, you need to think of a good team that works great with the rule set and also have to think again of the best way to counter your opponent by predicting their lineup which is not always easy because as you are thinking so is the opponent also brainstorming of the best way to defeat you.

It got harder with the release of new editions of cards and the number of cards available to be picked from, this game made us realize how great the human brain works and how we can adjust.

Even though I love the wild format more because of the access to all cards including those we started Splinterlands with I only play the modern format now because it gives more sps and wild is dominated by bot.

This is Cryptic! A dual summoner that was dropped from Conflict yesterday, It supports water and death splinter but the most amazing thing about this summoner is the stats... I was confused when an opponent used it and I saw some new things happening to my monsters, I had to replay the battle to understand what was going on and what was wrong and that was when I saw the summoner he used.

You see the stats above? If you do not have this card, be ready to get frustrated when facing an opponent who used it against it.

Let me explain the stats.

• Minus 1 speed: All the opponent monsters lose -1 speed.
• Blind: This reduces the chances of the opponent monsters hitting yours so expect some misses in the battle where cryptic is being used.

One new ability was introduced with this summoner called: Expose and there is a stats given which allows players to choose between a pair of two stats.

The first ability is retaliate which has been in existence for a long time, it gives melee monsters a 50% chance to immediately attack back when another melee monster attacks them. The second ability is Enfeeble which causes a reduction in the melee monster which was hit by -1.

The first ability is poison which we all know, it is the second ability that was newly introduced with the summoner and it is called Expose, this ability stops a lot of frustration from monsters with Forcefield, shield, lookout, reflection shield, void, void armor and the one that surprised me was Immunity, it can also remove immunity which was what got me confused in one of my battles and make me crave to have this summoner.

I tested this summoner in a 24 mana cap ruleset in which only magic monsters can be used, all monsters have enrage and blast abilities too and that was my formation above.

I chose the second stat of Poison and Expose for Djinn Oshannus and Baron Fyatt, you need to witness how Oshannus destroys the void armor of the opponent Djinn Muirat and makes it vulnerable to my magic attack, that part sweet me, and am sure the opponent did not expect it, he must be confused too if he is yet to know about the existence of Cryptic lol.

The poison also works effectively as 3/4 of the opponent monsters were poisoned, and even his Revealer monster immunity ability was taken away, it is such an interesting battle.. Have fun watching it.
