Splinterlands battle mage secrets : Super Sneak
Hello, Splinternerds
This week's Splinterlands battlemage secret is Super sneak
All melee monsters gained the sneak ability, they will all attack the opponent from behind unless he uses a monster with a taunt
ability.
This rule allows the players to use their strong melee attackers without special ability but their attack is limited to sneak.
The rulesets I got for this particular were so challenging, in most cases when players get the super sneak rule, they might not even use any melee monsters as they will come up with strong magic monsters and use a strong card as their last card to defend against any melee attackers from the opponent but in this battle I am about to share, there was no way to use such tactic as two out of the three rulesets was against magic and range monsters.
The first rule was Counterspell which means all the monsters have the magic reflect
ability so using magic monsters is at the player's risk, in fact, is a lost battle if the player should use magic, the second rule was Super sneak
which has been explained above and the last rule is Fire&Regret which means all monsters have the return fire ability which does half damage back to range attackers so using range is also out of it.
The only safe option is to use melee monsters, this could have played out well if Eternal Tofu
has not been released, Tofu with the thorn
ability was what I and the opponent used
This summoner was designed to work against melee monsters because whenever it is used, it is always tough to win with melee monsters unless you have those with special abilities like the Reflection shield.
Time to reveal the team.
When the team was revealed, I was not so sure I was going to win, I even thought the opponent had a higher chance of being the winner when I saw his Mantaroth
cos that card is a beast but I came prepared too.
Anything could go wrong If I made the wrong move, I had to choose between Corrosive ward + Divine Shield
on 3 monsters or Triage and Scavenger
on one monster, I picked the former, and the opponent Mantaroth made me make that decision, I need to make him lose the armor to deactivate its armored strike ability which favors me but the real monsters of the battle that gave me the win was Grimbardun Smith and Endless Ape.
GRIMBARDUN SMITH & ENDLESS APE
It was hard to predict the winner of this battle until it was 2 monsters left in my team and the same for the opponent but it was different monsters, I had Smith and Ape, and the Opponent had Smith and Venator. The ape was not affected by the thorn because it has a reflection shield and also scavenger ability so it accumulated a lot of health from the death of other monsters which was why I won and Smith protected the ape from Venator's attack, it kept supplying it health until Fatigue ended the battle.
The other monsters did great too but I choose to highlight those 2 above because they were the last monsters standing.

The opponent really targeted that backline though, but it was a close game, good win
yeah, his aim was clear my defense but I came well prepared too
Your opponent was quite a badass too but I’m glad you woke
