American politics are fueled by hysteria and hate, both parties want you to hate each other and want you to think that every Democrat or every Republican or every Libertarian or whatever is pure evil and incredibly delusional and are out to take away your rights and freedoms.
What they don't tell you is they're all getting paid off by the same mega corporations and all their propaganda is pushed by the same 5 media conglomerates and no matter who you choose, you have no real control.
I like to look into the candidates and people and movements that both sides of the media seem to absolutely hate, if both sides hate somebody they might have an opinion or an idea worth listening to.

I could write for a while about this, lemme give a few bulletpoints I most strongly support
-single payer healthcare system while dismantling much of the health insurance industry
-significant funding increase for education, lessening certain restrictions such as the asinine rules they have to follow for portion ratios in school lunches while making said school lunches free for all students and staff, and huge subsidies for college programs for jobs we need, e.g. if you go to school to become a teacher, since we need teachers badly, you get basically a free ride as long as you follow through and get a job in the field
-overhauls to our aging infrastructure, if you haven't driven in the midwest or in poor or mismanaged towns you might not know what I mean
-significant changes/improvements to labor laws, such as mandatory maternal/paternal leave, mandatory sick leave, minimum 2-3 weeks a year of PTO, moderately increased minimum wage, etc.
-overhaul our welfare system so that it does not intentionally trap people in poverty by suddenly dropping all benefits if you go over the hard limit for how much you can make terracore
Of course, this is all a pipe dream in this country's current political climate and and perpetual state of mass hysteria, but I can dream on.
