Splinterlands: community engagement, Grum Lore

Greetings splinterlands fans!

In this community engagement challenge there is something interesting that we hardly expected from the splinterlands team. All the cards being used in splinterlands game have some legend, story, mythology behind those characters. These characters are created in such a way that they can be presented as either a warrior or a villain.
There are some characters who live the life of tribals and try their best to save their tribe and attain martyrdom but they bring a ray of hope for everyone.
God of the sea, queen of the river, goddess of snakes, wood Nymph, there are many fictional and real characters that have been used as cards in this game.
Today's Lore character Grum Blade also has a similar story.
It is an 11 mana Chaos Legion edition legendary card from Fire unit. You must have understood that today in community engagement, I am going to explore the lore of Grum Flameblade.

WHO IS GRUM FLAMEBLADE?

God sends some incarnations to protect his people. The story of Grum Flameblade is something like this. It was prevalent among the tribes there that no warrior could stand in this scorching sand. In such a situation, a great warrior is born whom we call Grum Flameblade.
It was a difficult task to raise Grum in this scorching sun and blowing storms. But due to the divine powers right from birth, there was a combination of amazing powers within him and he had immense strength.
No kind of adverse weather could harm him and he stood firm in all circumstances. Even the strong sandstorms that arose here were unable to throw dust into his eyes.
The biggest challenge for him was to protect his tribe from the creatures living in the wasteland.
Due to his indomitable courage, intelligence and cleverness, he continued fighting adverse circumstances and protecting his tribe. Grum Flameblade fought day and night to protect his clan from the great Wyrm of wasteland, a Titan that could shake the earth with its power, and the sorceress Velissa.
All the witches failed before the amazing power and might of the Grum Flameblade. People started cheering for him everywhere. Songs of his bravery started being sung in the Deserted Blood tribe. He proved to be a great warrior for his tribe who survived even under adverse conditions.

                                 **MANA**

After a few days, Grum felt that he needed more extraordinary powers and he started thinking of a solution for the same. For this he started talking to the spirits of his ancestors and set out on a lonely journey.
From there he decided to go to the ruins beneath the desert where he could gain amazing powers. He found a powerful Mana in the ruins, which infused fire into his sword, and he became more powerful than before.

Today I understand what mana and fire units refer to. Till now I was unable to understand its meaning. Anyway this story is going to be interesting.
He needed some more powers to protect his clan which we know as giant killers. Powers make anyone arrogant and this is what happened with the Grum Flameblade too.
He started feeling that he was invincible and could defeat anyone. He became proud of the sparks of fire coming out from the edge of the sword and started thinking that no one would be able to stand before its sharpness.

All the aquatic and underwater creatures started trembling to his powers. In search of a powerful opponent, he travels to the draconic lands of Draykh-Nahka.
Even there, there was no powerful creature who could challenge the Grum Flameblade.

                                 **CHAOS LEGION**

While searching, Grum reached the world of Chaos Legion.
The Chaos Legion's warriors felt very bad about the arrogant nature of Grum and decided to confront the Grum Flameblade. The warriors of the Legion were blessed with magical powers and were filled with great combat skills.

There was some power within them that the Grum had never felt before. Grum prepared to fight them, but soon realized that he would not be able to defeat the Chaos Legion army. He failed before their magical powers and war strategies.

Thus, rather than face the powers of the Chaos Legion, Grum decided to join their team by becoming their servant. He became the most powerful warrior for the Chaos Legion and the leader of their army. Now he would chop off the heads of enemies and present them to the Chaos Legion.

                                   **FLAMEBLADE**

Gradually the stories of his cruelty started growing and he came to be considered as the most ruthless powerful warrior. Because of the sharpness of his sword and the rising flames of fire, no one could defeat him. It was believed that after killing his powerful enemy, he would chop off his head and bring it to the Chaos Legion on a platter.

Because of his brutality and bloodthirstiness, he was named Grum Flameblade. This is the reason why every time he kills an enemy and his blood gets on his sword, its bloodlust increases. While doing this, he would increase his powers every time and finally reach a state where it would be impossible to defeat him or Grum Flameblade would become invincible.
So it was the story of Grum Flameblade and this is how the Grum Flameblade is believed to have originated. To be honest I never try to know the origin of the cards nor did I focus on the design and structure of the creatures. Actually I was not paying attention to the lore as there be a long story behind it. Fortunately I got the chance to know it through community engagement.
