Hello everyone! Welcome to another Splinterlands Weekly Challenge and this week we will feature the neutral card, Magi of Chaos.

THE LORE

THE STATS

The Magi of Chaos has only one ability, the Oppress ability which does double damage when attacking an enemy that has no attacks so monsters like Baakjira and Almo Cambio are weak against him but this ability is unlocked only at level 5.

THE RULESET

The rule only includes Keep Your Distance which means that monsters with melee attack may not be used in battles. The mana cap is 46 and the summoners available are Obsidian and General Sloan.

MY LINE UP

My first position monster is Centauri Mage with Return fire ability which means that when hit with a ranged attack, monsters with return fire will return reduced damage back to their attacker.

For my second position is my main tank, the Mycelic Slipspawn with Taunt ability. He absorbs all the damage from round one and died easily in the game although I thought he would last until the second round.

My third position is our featured card, the Magi Of Chaos with no ability at level one but does three magic damage thanks to the plus one magic damage from Obsidian.

My fourth and fifth monsters are Goblin Psychic with Tank Heal ability and Spirit Hoarder with Triage ability respectively. This helps my monsters stay alive with the help of their heals.

My last position monster is Regal Peryton with a high speed of 6 and with Flying ability which increases its chance to evade enemy attacks.

BATTLE DISCUSSION

Did my strategy worked? It really did worked. The synergy of Obsidian and my line up goes well because I used monsters with magic attacks. There is also a return fire from Centauri Mage which is a big help and Goblin Psychic help her heal.

What will I try next? I will try to use Magi Of Chaos with other summoners and think of other strategy that will fit him.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Magi of Chaos is a fairly good card for me because he does not have any ability at lower level though he has a good two magic damage which is really good on certain rules such as Back to basics. I find him a good fit with Obsidian because he use magic damage.
