This week I decided to draw a deep anglerfish as Splinterlands monster! I always loved how they looked, and thought it would be cool to battle.

The Outline

I opened up procreate and got started on a rough outline of the fish. This is what I came up with, and surprisingly stuck with it.

Main Colors

Now I added the basic colors. I decided to go for a blueish palette since fish live in water. CrEaTIvIty

I used a base color, and a light and dark for highlights and shadows.

Final Touches

Now comes my favourite part, the detail! This is what really makes it come to life. I added red and green colors to snazz things up (mouth, scars, light). I added a simple background, exported it to my PC and put it into a Splinterlands frame. About 14 hours later (ik i'm slow) and it's all finished!
