Splinterlands Weekly Challenge | The strength and speed of the "Dragon Spirit" ♥

It is a pleasure to bring content about this great game "play2earn" called "Splinterlands", where we are able to generate income doing what we love the most which is playing video games. As every week I want to thank the entire @splinterlands team and especially @carrieallen, which has supported me since I started in this game, also highlight the incredible opportunity that all players have to highlight and learn about combat strategies thanks to these weekly challenges, which is great, because, without them, we really would not see that great utility that the cards have.
This time the weekly challenge is related to the famous "Dragons", splinter that in my opinion has been the strongest of @splinterlands, of course without taking away merits to the rest of the cards that are also very useful in battle. On the other hand, weeks ago I published strategies related to this wonderful team, however, I intend to show the usefulness and power of these creatures from a more strategic point of view that is not very related to brute force. This battle will be very interesting so don't miss it.
Now, having said that, I will start describing how was my battle using this great skill. Join me...
I have already commented on many occasions the greatness of this great "Splinter", even so, there are aspects that I have not fully clarified; and is that the "Dragons" are not all a frontal attack machine, distance, or magic, but there are also dragons that serve as support in battle and that are created to cancel and/or neutralize some of the skills that could give more advantages in the field, all in order to neutralize our opponent.
This type of support cards of the "Dragon Splinter", most of them have a very low mana cost and low health, but if we can use them strategically, they can give us an important advantage, we just need to know how and when to play these cards to nullify some of the attacks and/or abilities that can give our opponent a great chance to defeat us. Even so, as I mentioned before, the Dragon team is very versatile and can easily adapt to any battle environment, besides being able to combine them with other Splinters to further increase our chances.
This Splinter is undoubtedly the strongest and most versatile of all "Splinterlands", its great variety of cards and types of attacks, plus its abilities make it the team that every player would like to have.
This battle as I mentioned is different, since I focused on using a couple of dragon-type monsters, but they are far from being the strongest I have played in a battle, this means that my goal was more strategic, so that my main offensive was concentrated on two monsters capable of reducing the main sources of attack of my opponent in the rear, while they could protect my entire team in a certain way, to give enough time to my monsters to defeat my opponent's cards. My approach all the time was to protect my dragon tank, avoid a possible health recovery from my opponent's tank, and protect all my cards with the "Protect" ability.

Rule of my Battle
Odd Ones Out with 22 Mana.
- Mana: 22
- Odd Ones Out: Only Monsters with odd Mana costs may be used in battles.
Delwyn Dragonscale
This is one of my favorite dragon "Splinter" summoners, as I really like to use a strong magic attack against my opponents, something that can fulminate their life points in the quickest way so that the battle lasts a number of rounds not too long. Now, of course, I know exactly when to use it, but for this battle, it was necessary to use Delwyn and his intrinsic ability to grant me a +1 magic attack point, since my main attack would be of this type.
Dragon Spirit
On special occasions I usually use this card to occupy one of the most important positions of any battle formation in "Splinterlands" which is that of a "Tank", at first glance it may seem very weak, which is correct, since it does not have any type of attack so it can defend itself, however, it has a very good +7 health points and a very important +5 speed points, which give my "Dragon" a very good increase in the probability that my opponent's cards will miss one of his melees and ranged attacks. A risk I was willing to take to prove in this challenge is that not everything is a brute force in a battle.
Serpentine Mystic
This is my second "Dragon Splinter" card and the last one in my formation for this battle, its main function was to serve as a backup tank in case my "Dragon Spirit" fell on the battlefield, which it didn't, however, it was not, the other important reason was to use its +2 attack points to weaken my opponent's tank and also to prevent it from recovering its health points if one of my opponent's cards had the "Heal or Tank Heal" ability, all thanks to its "Affliction" ability, which prevents a monster from using its instant recovery every round.
Pelacor Bandit
One of the main monsters in charge of my battle offensive is a really strong card, useful and with very low mana cost to summon it. His objective on the field is to be able to focus on defeating the last card of my opponent's formation thanks to his "Sneak" ability since his +2 melee attack points and +4 speed points are excellent for these types of attacks. In addition, his ability to fly gives him extra protection in case he gets caught by surprise with an attack of the "Opportunist" type on the field.
Venari Wavesmith
This is the 2nd most important card in my offensive, which has powerful +2 magic attack points that go directly to the health of my opponent's cards, especially his tank. Besides attacking, its other objective was to provide additional protection to the rest of my team, thanks to its ability called "Protect", which gives all the monsters on my side of the field +2 points in the shield, which helped me to have much more time to defeat all the cards of my opponent without suffering practically no damage.
Merdaali Guardian
This is the last card of my formation, being very useful and primordial in my strategy, since its job was based solely and exclusively on the protection of the life points of my tank on guard, in this case, my "Dragon Spirit". It was a risk to place it in this last position, but according to what I had been able to observe in the last battles of my opponent, he had only used the "Earth" team and no card with the "Sneak" ability, so I took the risk and in the end, everything went very well.
My strategy worked perfectly, although I admit that it was a bit risky, however, when evaluating the last formations of my opponent, I was 90% sure that he would not use a card with the "Sneak" ability, but would focus on the magic attack. Also with this, I prove that the strength and power of dragons are not based only on brute force as I have already commented above, so, if we think strategically and properly manage the mana available for each battle, our victory rate will surely exceed 80%.
Of course, Dragons are mostly my favorite cards of the whole game, as they are really powerful and useful, being adaptable for almost all types of rules and battles, so, in my opinion, we should always have a "Dragon" deck to be able to combine with the rest of our cards their great power and increase our chances of winning. Dragons are a jewel in the game, besides being one of the most expensive and useful cards in all Splinterlands.

You made it look easy, great choice of fast front monsters with lots of health and paired him with tank healer. Genius.
