Splinterlands Challenge: Holy Protection

Hello to all Splinterlands friends, here we are at the long-awaited weekly appointment of Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge, a now recurring event that aims to delve deeper into the many rulesets that characterize the battles that we players face on a daily basis. I always like to underline the great importance of this contest because it offers interesting ideas for all players, especially those who have only recently entered the world of Splinterlands.

Well, this week's rulset is called Holy Protection, All units gain the Divine Shield ability which reduces the damage of the first attack received to 0. The first attack received has no effect, but from the second turn the beating was very hard and violent. In first position I deployed ARKEMIS THE BEAR, although I am not a great lover of this card because according to my purchasing strategy it is quite useless to purchase cards with such expensive mana, furthermore it has a poor defense, but I decided to take advantage of the Halving skill to halve opponents' damage.

The battle didn't start very well, in fact right from the start I had great difficulty fighting my opponent and the victory really came down to the last point! The battle was also characterized by poison which caused -2 damage to all units at each turn. A really interesting card is USUT Soulbound legendary monster of the Death element, currently upgraded to level 3 but I hope to maximize it (the GLINT shop is truly magnificent!). The unit has a high mana of 10 points, but has an excellent balance in statistics, furthermore the healing power is a skill that I adore, in battle it allowed me to survive the effects of the poison and I reached the end with extreme difficulty, but enough to lead the team to victory! Fundamental!
