Tournament Poll Results

After one week of polling, we've gotten plenty of great feedback and some pretty strong participation! Looking at the data, it appears that as we scale up the number of participants, the results remain pretty consistent. I'll go ahead and break down the results of each poll below, but if you're not interested in all of that I'll give you a quick TLDR: the recent tournament changes are here to stay.

Poll 1: Entry Fees

We'll start off by reviewing the only somewhat contentious poll results. The option to keep things as they are is a clear winner when it comes to SPS stake-weighted support, but I think it's important to also look at the number of votes to make sure the results are not skewed too heavily by large stakeholder votes.

Even when looking at the second set of data, there's still more than two thirds of respondents in support of some form of entry fees. Either way you look at it, the clear winner is to keep things as they are for now. We can revisit this issue at some point in the future if the community sentiment shifts significantly.

Poll 2: Prize Structure

If we're looking purely at SPS stake-weighted support, more than 99% of responding stake likes the prize structures as they are right now. When looking at the number of votes for each response, not much changes and there's still over 90% of votes saying to not change the prize structures. For now, we stay the course.

Poll 3: Tournament Frequency

The results for this poll are very much in line with the previous one. Whether we're looking at stake or number of votes, both metrics show over 90% support for keeping things as they are right now. That is what we shall do.

Conclusion

The results of these polls are strong indicators that overall people are receptive to the recent changes and want to keep them in place. While the poll results haven't changed from the previous smaller ones, it's good that we got more responses and validated the previous data. I'll continue to monitor the situation and collect feedback. If anything major comes up in regards to tournament I'll reevaluate the situation.

For now, we abide. I appreciate all of the responses and everyone that took their time to participate in these polls. It's always valuable for me to know what you guys are thinking and it helps me to ensure that I'm doing my best to serve the will of the DAO. Until next time...
