Social Media Challenge: Rebellion
Social Media Challenge: Rebellion
Hello Splinterfam! I am back again after so many long months of not writing anything about splinterlands because of how life became so busy and also because of my pc broke last April and I just got it fixed I little while. So now I'm starting to write again something about my experience, opinion and take about the Rebellion Edition.
Rebellion was released last Dec 5, 2023 and the first time I did was to buy packs immediately. What I did was sold my treasured gold foil Harklaw that I got the first time I played splinterlands, and that was around Oct 2021 I think The Dec I got from the sale is what I used to purchase Rebellion from the market and I got at least 10 packs. After opening those 10 packs I was still satisfied because the thrill of opening packs are always fun until you see the cards you got from it lol.
Here are the cards which I got from opening those 10 packs.

I'm pretty satisfied with my pull because I still got profit last I checked the value of the cards vs the value of the pack purchased but this time I don't know lol. I sold a few card especially the gold foil because I want to reroll and buy new packs because as I said earlier it is fun to open packs.
With the addition of Rebellion, the Untamed edition was moved to be usable in Wild format and the Modern format now consist of Rebellion and Chaos Legion plus Riftwatchers. Rebellion also introduced to us a new abilities which would change the current Meta. Here are some the new Abilities and their effects which I mentioned.
- Armored Strike - Any unit with this ability gains an additional Melee attack using its Armor stat.
- Corrosive Ward - When hit with a Melee attack, a unit with this ability does 2 damage to the attacker's Armor and reduces the max Armor of the attacker by 2.
- Flank - If the unit with this ability is in the first position, then the unit in the second position gains the Reach ability.
- Lookout - A unit with this ability results in adjacent allies taking one less damage from attackers with Sneak, Snipe, and Opportunity.
There is also summoners with dual elements and summoners which give abilities which you can choose from. You can choose what ability to use after you have placed your line up.
Conclusion
The addition of the Rebellion set opens a new experience and strategies in battling. I'm so excited in the coming days when I complete the silver levels of the Rebellion set (I still haven't completed the Chaos Legion/Riftwatchers so I don't know if I can do it lol), slowly but surely I would buy cards that I need before the price skyrockets. Today is the time to build your deck (not financial advise) for the price of card is still cheap and as time goes by Splinterlands is more fun to play. I hope to see different comboes and interesting line ups in the days to come and hopefully be able to complete the Rebellion edition as soon as possible so I can create interesting strategies that would help me increase my win rate in playing in the Modern League.
