Splinterlands drops from 1st place
As most of you know the developers of Splinterlands have decided to change the reward system in the game . At the beginning of the month there were still up to 400,000 accounts a day playing Splinterlands under the old system. After the change, the number of players dropped to 100,000-150,000. Does this mean that the game was played by more than 200,000 users only with starter cards?
Players in the lower leagues can't complain, as they now receive many more chests in both daily quests and seasonal rewards.
A few days ago, the developers added another change. You should follow the official accounts of the game @splinterlands , because they are constantly trying to find the right balance of economics in the game and it is not excluded that there will be further changes.

I don't get why people still play cryptoblades... totally lost all faith in that team
What happened there?
They had their rewards pool set to pay out too much and some pump group destroyed the economy they were attempting to build during the peak of cryptoblades hype last year... then the rewards pool depleted and the pump group exited with all the money. Since then they've been trying to rebuild, but the games kind of dumb... it's not even kind of cool so far. There's a lot of promises about how cool the game will end up being...but I have no trust for the team anymore. I haven't even sold the assets I bought in game, the marketplace fees are exuberant, so they're just sitting there, ignored.
Good to know. Many crypto games will end up similarly if players play them just for the tokens.

I tried Splinterlands for a week or so but I couldn't quite figure it out. Maybe I'm one of those accounts that disappeared?
What do you have in mind? Don't know how to play it? Maybe I'll do some sort of beginner's guide.
