I hope you are happy and healthy. Today i will share a recipe of Split Green Gram lentils. This is a main course in Indian cuisine. It's not only nutritious but also delicious. ๐1 cup chhilka moong dal (split green gram dal)
๐ 3 cups water
๐1 medium-sized onion, chopped
๐2-3 green chilies
๐ 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
๐Salt to tast
๐2 tablespoons oil
๐Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Rinse and Soak:
๐ธStart by rinsing the chhilka moong dal under running water until the water runs clear. Then, soak the dal in water for about 30 minutes. This step helps in quickening the cooking process.
Pressure Cook:
๐ธAfter soaking, drain the water from the dal and transfer it to a pressure cooker. Add 3 cups of fresh water ,green chillies, raw mango, onion and salt.
๐ธPressure cook the dal for about 3 whistles or until it is soft and mushy.
Tempering:
๐ธIn a separate pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter. Then, add chopped onions and sautรฉ until they turn translucent.
Combine Dal
๐ธOnce the tempering is ready, add the cooked dal to the pan. Mix everything well and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
Garnish and Serve:
๐ธFinally, garnish the chhilka moong ki dal with freshly chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot with steamed rice or roti for a wholesome and satisfying meal.
