Creative -Sunday : Crispy Fish Fry

Today, for the Creative Sunday Contest, I want to share my favorite recipe: a special fish fry that’s loved by my family. Fish is not only packed with health benefits—rich in omega-3 fatty acids and high in protein—but it’s also one of my absolute favorites. However, my two little princesses are usually not fans of fish. But when I make it like this, they can’t resist!

Here’s how I make my crispy, flavorful fish fry that even my picky eaters enjoy.

Ingredients:

Boneless fish pieces -500 g

Ginger and garlic paste- 1 teaspoon

Coriander powder -1 teaspoon

Red chili powder -1 teaspoon

Garam masala - half teaspoon

Black pepper - 1 teaspoon

White sesame seeds - half teaspoon

Turmeric (haldi) - 1 teaspoon

Dried fenugreek leaves (kasoori methi) -half teaspoon

Gram flour (besan) -2 tablespoons

Food color (optional)

Lemon juice - 1

Steps:

1- Marinate the Fish:
I start by marinating the fish with ginger and garlic paste for a rich aromatic base, and coriander powder,

Then add red chili powder, a hint of garam masala, black pepper, white sesame seeds, turmeric, kasoori methi,

Add gram flour and mix well

Add food color (optional for a vibrant look),

and a squeeze of lemon juice.

I let it marinate for an hour so the flavors soak in beautifully.

2- Fry the Fish:
In a pan, I heat some oil until it’s hot enough for frying. I carefully place each piece of marinated fish into the pan and let it cook until golden and crispy. The delicious aroma fills the kitchen, making it hard for anyone to wait!

3- Serve Hot:
Finally, I serve the fish fry hot with a side of tangy sauce and onion . It’s best eaten fresh, straight out of the pan for that perfect crunch.

This fish fry has become a family favorite, especially on weekends, thanks to its rich flavors and crispy texture. Even my daughters, who usually aren’t fans of fish, enjoy it when prepared this way. I hope this recipe brings as much joy to your family as it does to mine! Thank you, Creative Sunday Contest, for inspiring me to share this special recipe with all of you.
