Okra Masala fry. Bhindi Masala Fry is a popular and flavorful Indian dish made with tender okra cooked in a rich and aromatic masala.This dish combines the earthy taste of okra with a blend of spices, making it a perfect accompaniment to roti, paratha, or rice.Let's Cook Bhindi Masala Fry together!
๐๐ฃ๐๐ง๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐จ:
โจ 300 grams bhindi (okra)
โจ 2 tablespoons oil
โจ 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
โจ 1teaspoon fennel seeds
โจ 1 large onion, finely chopped
โจ 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
โจ 6-7 cloves garlic
โจ 1" ginger slice
โจ 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
โจ 1 teaspoon coriander powder
โจ1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
โจ 1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
โจ Salt to taste
โจ Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (for garnish)
โจโจ Lemon juice

๐Wash the bhindi and pat them dry thoroughly with a kitchen towel. Any moisture can make the dish slimy.
๐Cut the bhindi into 1-inch pieces and set aside.
๐First, prepare the paste by combining a 1-inch piece of peeled and roughly chopped ginger, 6-7 peeled garlic cloves, and 2 roughly chopped tomatoes in a blender. Blend until smooth paste.
๐พ๐ค๐ค๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฝ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐:
๐ Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium heat.
๐ Add the bhindi pieces and saut๐ until they are lightly browned and cooked through. This should take about 10-12 minutes.
๐ Remove the bhindi from the pan and set aside.
๐๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐๐จ๐๐ก๐:
๐ In the same pan, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil.
๐Add cumin and fennel seeds and let them splutter
๐ Add the chopped onions and sautรฉ until they turn golden brown.
Mix Spices
๐ Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and red chili powder. Add salt to taste and Mix well.
๐ Add the prepared paste of ginger, garlic and tomatoes and cook on medium heat until the paste thickens and the oil starts to separate, about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
๐พ๐ค๐ข๐๐๐ฃ๐:
๐ Add the cooked bhindi to the masala and mix well.
๐ Cook for another 5-7 minutes, allowing the bhindi to absorb the flavors of the masala.
๐ Cook the bhindi on low heat until it becomes tender.
๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ก ๐๐ค๐ช๐๐: ๐Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
๐Add a squeeze of lemon juice for a tangy flavor. Serve hot with roti, paratha, or rice.
