Splinterlands is the way I was introduced to this platform. Till then I shared several illustrations related to this game. I bought the spellbook of the game, played the game ever since and purchased ad traded some cards too. After all this time, playing and writing about this game is nothing I now see as a work thing. I feel a bond with it, or it has turned into my habit by now.

I've been sharing posts, illustrations and battle reports from the beginning to take my participation in the weekly contests of splinterlands. In today's post, I'll be sharing one of my battle reports. The new weekly share your battle challenge contest has challenged us to play a ranked match in splinterlands using the Dragon splinter and share a battle report about it which must include our lineup and strategy details. I've played several matches. Won some and lost some. But, in all of those matches, I liked one. Because I won the battle in an interesting way.

My Battle:

I used a dragon summoner that has the ability to increase the shields of all friendly monsters by +1. The dragon splinter uses cards that play under other splinters in battles. This time I've chosen the cards that play under Earth splinter. Most of them are magic attacks using monsters and some of them have the ability to defend against magic ability. So this ability of the cards and the ability they will gain from the summoner will make them more and more strong. They'll build an invincible defence against the enemies and with their strong abilities mainly the sneak attacker monsters will win the battle. It was my strategy. I'll explain more in my lineup explanation.

My Lineup:

As you can see that I used my strong and defensive cards in the front line then a healer and then my main attacking monsters.

• In the first position, I used the UNICORN MUSTANG. This is one of my favourite monsters that can be used in the first position. This monster has a good amount of life stock including faster-attacking speed. It possesses a melee attacking ability that provides a damage level of 3. Which is also crucial to take down the enemy monster standing in the first position. It also has a special ability that goes by the name of VOID. This ability keep's the monster out of harm's way from any magic attack by reducing it's power to half. This special ability and high life capacity make it a strong defender and adding the strong melee attacking ability make the card totally invincible.

Unicorn Mustang

• Then I used the Failed Summoner. This card doesn't have any attacking ability but it has something that can kill the enemies with their own attack. It's the MAGIC REFLECT ability. This monster can reflect back any attack coming from the enemy monster back to it using this ability. Though it didn't get any chance to show its power. But, when the right time comes it won't disappoint you.

• And then I used the Goblin Psychic. This card is my favourite earth monster. And the reason is the Tank Heal ability and strong magic attacking ability that this card possesses. This card is the only reason my Unicorn mustang was able to survive till the end of the battle.

• And now comes my sneaky monsters. One is a dragon monster that plays under the dragon splinter named DHAMPIR INFILTRATOR. This one is a special ability named the Double Strike. This ability allows the monster to hit twice it's target and this way it can deliver double damage to the monster. And the Sneak attacking ability helps the card to attack the enemy cards from the end of the line where players usually use the weak and special cards that they don't want to be killed sooner. The other one is named Sneaky Goblin. This monster also has the Sneak ability.

• Then in the end I used the Khmer Princess. This card is one of the useful ones. It costs only 2 mana caps to use in battle and has yet to have the magic attacking ability. And if you're a player of the game, you'll know that amongst melee, range and magic attacks, magic is the strongest and most useful one. Because it can penetrate through shields.

If you watch the whole battle, you'll notice that all the enemy monsters were attacking my first monster. But, they couldn't do anything because of the VOID ability of the Unicorn Mustang and the TANK HEAL ability of the Goblin Psychic. Meanwhile, my sneak attacking monsters slowly finished off the enemy from the back of the line. The Goblin Psychic and Unicorn Mustang also helped by holding the enemy attacks and finishing off the enemies on the frontline. Everything worked out well and I was able to win the battle.
