The Brave Khymian Army General: Defender of Truth. Splinterlands Fan-Art.
Drawing for splinterlands is now something I want to keep on doing. Here's the reason, at first I used to only draw when I felt like it. I was kind of careless with them. Even though I knew the techniques, my skills were not developed because of not practising enough and not putting enough effort into them. But, now that I'm sharing my works on a platform with everyone, it makes me think twice before drawing something.
Also, now that I'm doing my work with care, it's developing my skill of drawing slowly. I can see the improvement myself. This is one of the reasons I now love drawing for splinterlands. Also, all the support that I get from you all also inspires me to draw more.
Today, I present to you my fan-art version of the DEFENDER OF TRUTH. He is a young, strong and brave general of the Khymian army. He is also well known for the order of silver shields. I got this information from the lore section of splinterlands. I've played with many cards but not this one. I found it randomly while going through the market to find a card that I'll draw. All of a sudden this card got my attention and I decided to draw a version of it.

I'm sharing this drawing to take my participation in the weekly art contest of splinterlands and to get a chance to share my work with more people possible. I'll be also sharing it on my Twitter and Reddit accounts for promotion. Now, let's talk about the drawing.
- At first I used the AUTODESK SKETCHBOOK PRO on my PC to draw the dummy of the drawing and then resketched over it to draw the basic structure of the body. I used my Wacom graphics tablet to do it. Because drawing lines with it is way easier than doing it using a mouse.
- I also changed the position of the weapon that he's holding and made it look like he's holding it on his back with a special pose of standing.
- Now that I'm done with the structure, I moved on to Adobe Illustrator to finalize it. There I used the pen tool to draw a single line shape over the drawing I made. Here's the finishing look:
Till now, it took me 3 hours of working time to draw the structure in Autodesk and to draw the final body in illustrator. But, that was not the hard part. The tough job starts from now on. - In this part I started colouring it using the Adobe Illustrator software. This part usually takes more time than the other parts. Because I have to draw the lines the fill them with colours. these create a lot of layers. Drawing them and managing them takes a whole day to complete. I'm adding the work process below step by step.
The Final Outcome.
- Then I drew a background and added to it.
I'd also like viewers of my post to join splinterlands. It's an amazing game with lots of cards, summoners, and options to play. This game was the option I came to know about the hive and enjoyed playing it. All those cards, their powers, different battle rules, and mana limitations make it playing more interesting. You can play this game to earn rewards, trade cards to make a profit or buy and hold cards or packs as an investment. I currently have some cards and some chaos legion packs bought. I still have a lot of things to learn from it. You can use my referral link to join splinterlands.
