VALNAMOR: Mighty Warrior of Sea. Splinterlands Art Contest.
I has happy to see your response to my previous fan-art illustration for splinterlands's weekly art contest. It inspired me to create another one and today I'm here to share my fan-art illustration of the monster of splinterland named VALNAMOR. It's a legendary water summoner of splinterlands.
I'm sharing this drawing to take my participation in the splinterlands's weekly art contest arranged by the @splinterlands team.
As for my drawing. Here is my work.
And here is the original image of Valnamor from splinterlands.
Tools I used.
1. Autodesk Sketchbook Pro.
2. Wacom Intous Pro Graphics Tablet.
3. My Computer.
4. Adobe Illustrator 2021.
5. Adobe Photoshop 2021.
I lost the drawing pen that I got with the Wacom graphics tablet. So I had to purchase another one. And I used this new one to draw. Btw, I got to admit that the original Wacom pencil was far better than this piece of crap. At least it used to sink better with the tabled.
- As my new drawing technique goes, I first used AUTODESK SKETCHBOOK to draw the dummy for my drawing. With which I'll continue my work.
- Then I drew my structural baselines on the dummy to bring out the main visual of the drawing. Now it's colouring time.
- Then I shifted to Adobe Illustrator. There I used the pen tool to trace my previous work and brought out a fine structure with straight and single lines.
- Then I started colouring it. But as usual, the hard part of this drawing was managing the layers. As you see there's a hack of them. It's a drag to manage them all. Especially when I need to change something or I found out some mistakes after finishing a drawing. It's true that layers help us to change or edit anything we want. Even to the tiny details. But, I always find managing them a drag.
- Drawing the Trident in his hand was a tough job to do. Took me more time than I imagined to do it. As you see it has many shiny and shadowed parts and drawing all of them and creating a layer for each one took me a while to do.
- I finished drawing the trident only to find out that drawing the hair and his dress would be a more difficult job to do.
- After working for the whole 7 hours. I can now see the final result. Just a few more steps to go.
- I then downloaded this image from free-pik and used Adobe photoshop to attach it to my drawing.

I'd also like viewers of my post to join splinterlands. It's an amazing game with lots of cards, summoners, and options to play. This game was the option I came to know about the hive and enjoyed playing it. All those cards, their powers, different battle rules, and mana limitations make it playing more interesting. You can play this game to earn rewards, trade cards to make a profit or buy and hold cards or packs as an investment. I currently have some cards and some chaos legion packs bought. I still have a lot of things to learn from it. You can use my referral link to join splinterlands.
