BATTLE MAGE SECRETS ✶ NOXIOUS FUMES

The ruleset for this week's challenge

• Noxious Fumes - All units are Poisoned at the start of the game

The ruleset that I managed to get

• Rulesets - Ferocity, Noxious Fumes & Melee Mayhem
• Mana Cap - 35
• Active Elements -

Here's my starting lineup

Summoner: Tarsa

• With the ruleset that I managed to get I really wanted to play melee based comp
• So I settled with Tarsa as I had great melee team in fire element and also Tarsa has same great stats for melee team being +1 melee damage and +1hp

1st Position: Grum Flameblade

• Grum Flameblade was my main tank for this battle
• Main reason I like Grum Flameblade here a lot is his Bloodlust ability
• Bloodlust - Every time this Unit defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats
• Void armor - Magic attacks hit this Unit's armor before its Health
• Void - Reduced damage from Magic attacks by 50%

2nd Position: Venari Marksrat

• Love this card so much because of his Martyr ability
• The main idea for him was just to die and boost both 1st and 3rd position monsters
• Martyr - When this Unit dies, adjacent Units get +1 to all stats

3rd Position: Forgotten One

• For 3rd monster I took Forgotten One
• The only reason I picked Forgotten One here was his Immunity ability and great stats
• Immunity - This Unit is immune to negative status effects

4th Position: Cerberus

• Next up in line is one lovely self heal monster
• Both him and Forgotten One would be able to attack from there positions and stay alive
• Heal - Restores a third of the max health to this Unit's health each round

5th Position: Scavo Chemist

• Only reason to play Scavo Chemist here was to clear the poison off my Grum Flameblade
• Cleanse - Removes all negative effects on the Unit in the first position on the friendly team

6th Position: Kobold Miner

• Kobold Miner was my backline tank for this battle
• I picked him because I only had 2 mana left
• He just needed to deal some damage and tank Scavo Chemist if needed so he could clear my Grum Flameblade
• Sneak - Targets the last Unit on the enemy Team instead of the first Unit

Starting board

• The starting board did not really say anything other than my Grum Flameblades Void and Void Armor countered his Aves Sturgis Weapons Training
• Also his whole team was quite low hp monsters so I just needed to stay alive for a bit and the victory should be mine

Here's how the battle went

1st Round

• After 1st Round my theory was correct my Grum Flameblade was tanking like a champ
• Also I had managed to take down his first monster without losing any of mine

2nd & 3rd Round

• After next two rounds my board was still looking great while my enemies board was losing monsters left right and center
• I was quite sure the victory was mine but anything could still happen

4th Round

• In the 4th Round I managed to take down one of the last two enemy monster and I still had 3 monsters with high damage alive
• At this point I was 100% sure I would win this battle

5th Round

• It took me 1 turn to kill my enemies last standing monster
• After his Evelyn Auvera had fallen I took the victory

Summary

• This battle was definitely heavily one sided but still fun to watch
• I believe the battle came down to me playing monsters who counter Noxious Fumes and luckily playing Grum Flameblade who countered his Aves Sturgis Weapons Training hard
