OBSESSION

OBSESSION!!!

The oxford dictionary puts it has a strong idea or thought that constantly preoccupies a person's mind, these
Thought or idea comes in form of a strong feeling towards someone or something, such that its somehow becomes impossible to stay with out it, if care is not taken it develops into OLD...Obsessive Love Disorder

Obsessive love disorder is not a medically recognized disorder , but refers to a fixation on another person as if they are a possession or an object.

A person may experience sy such as delusional jealousy, in which a persons obsession cause them to develop deluaional beliefs about infedelity or other issues which causes them to be over protective and violent in most cases, a person with obsessive love may have issues regulating their emotion and behaving accordingly, other symptoms.may include low self esteem overwhelming attraction to a particular person or a possessive thoughts

I have often times find myself in this category, when it comes to the matter of love, i'm actually not a fan of love , i grew up hating the subject matter cause i believe that it makes people feel less of themselves and vulnerable to a lot of things, so i never believed in it, not untill when i fell in love for the first time, i became restless, the thought of this person preoccupies my mind all through the times.

I am highly emotional when it comes to certain matters especially around matters of love, maybe cause of how I grew up, bullied, abused and neglected, this makes me plunge into depression everytime i'm abused, i felt i lack love growing as a kid-teenager, so that makes me vulnerable about it, and a potential victim of "OLD" anytime i sense love around me.

So basically thats like some of the signs of "OLD"....
Lack of love
Fixation on the persons image or an object
Been overly protective
Seeing the person as a Possession rather
A partner.

Sense of Entitlement And Obligation
These one of the possessive nature about these kind love, that sense or feeling of entitlement, like you own this person, like a possession, that is only yours, which most times poses a threat to anything that wants to come in between, mostly common among men,

Meanwhile on the other hand having a sense of obligation is a case were one feels indebted to the other party cause of a favor or good deed and so because of that there's that feeling of indebtedness mostly not out of love but cause of a favour done,

CONCLUSION
Obsession comes in many different variant towards a person or a thing, and these is triggered by certain factors, it is not yet describe as a mental disorder but if left untreated would result to self damage or even suicide if appropriate care and attention is not given

Obsession in my view is a prison one makes for his/herself over something or someone else. Nice job with it. It's a topic I'm very interested in. Because I love talking about mental topics.
